  • Chandigarh, Jan 9 – Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Mr. Devender Singh distributed special package grant letters and eligibility certificates to seven investors under Enterprises Promotion Policy, 2015., at New Delhi today. The special package included rebate in electricity charges, employment generation grant, rebate in external development charges and refund of stamp duty.
  • It is worth mentioning that the incentive of special package in the form of grant is provided to projects involving fixed capital investment of over Rs. 100 crore and above, or generating direct employment of more than 200 persons in ‘D’ category blocks and fixed capital investment over 100 crore or generating direct employment of more than 500 persons in ‘B’ & ‘C’ category blocks.
  • Those who received the special package today included Kandhari Beverages Private Limited, Ambala, Panasonic India Private Limited, Jhajjar, Enrich Agro Food Product Private Limited, IMT Rohtak, Star Wire India Private Limited, Panchkula, Atotech Development Centre Private Limited, IMT Manesar, Gurugram and KAP Cones Private Limited, Dharuhera, Rewari.
  • Others present on the occasion included Director, Industries and Commerce Department, Mr. Ashok Sangwan, Additional Director, Mr. Ashwani Gupta, Assistant General Manager, Mrs. Madhu and Investment Facilitation Officer, Mr. Gaurav Kapoor.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 9 – Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, Civil Aviation, Mr Devender Singh today held a meeting in New Delhi with fifteen companies of the aviation sector for developing Air Shuttle Services in a phased manner in the State.
  • Mr Devender Singh said that 10 companies have expressed their interest in starting air shuttle services in the state. On the pattern of Centre Government, the Haryana Government would also give the benefit of Viability Gap Funding to the aviation sector companies under the state freight plan. There is a high probability that the Air Shuttle services would begin in the first week of February in the state, he informed.
  • Those present included Advisor, Haryana Civil Aviation Department, Mr Ashok Sangwan, Inspector General of Police (Intelligence), Mr. Anil Rao, the founding member of the Joint Working Group, Capt. Mr. Rajesh Pratap Singh, Project Director, Group Capt. Mr. A. S. Gill and representative of fifteen companies.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 9: Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr Karan Dev Kamboj said that under Public Distribution System, all the ration depots of Panchkula would be provided cashless facility on pilot project basis.
  • The Minister said this during the review meeting of the department here today. He said that later this facility would be implemented throughout the state. Discussions are being held with Punjab National Bank, in this regard.
  • Mr  Kamboj directed the officials to ensure that no person in the state would be left without LPG gas connection by January 26. For this, LPG gas connections would be provided to the remaining people of the State under Ujjwala scheme of the Central Government and other ongoing schemes of the State.
  • The Minister said that as the Public Distribution System is for the people belong to poor families and any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated. The problems being faced by people in the public distribution system should be resolved on priority basis, he directed.
  • He said that the delivery of Custom Milled Rice (CMR) in Haryana last year was more than 99 per cent, which is now aimed at 100 per cent this year.
  • Those present in the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Mr Ram Niwas, Director, Food Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Mr Sanjeev Verma, Managing Director, HAFED, Mr Brijendra Singh, Food Supply Controllers of all the districts of the state besides other senior officers.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 9 – In Haryana, the Golden Record cards being made under Ayushman Bharat Yojana would  also be made  in Saral Sewa Kendras and Antyodaya Sewa Kendras for the convenience of people of the state.
  • A proposal to this effect has been approved in the 4th meeting of Governing Body of Ayushman Bharat Yojana held under chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi, here today.
  • Apart from this, it was decided that ‘Chaupal Par Charcha-Jeevan Ke Rang Ayushman Ke Sang’ would involve Saksham Yuvas in activities to spread awareness among people in rural areas under Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
  • It was informed in the meeting that 307 hospitals have so far been empanelled under this scheme in the state including 215 private and 89 government hospitals. Apart from this, applications of 178 hospitals are under process for empanelment. The Chief Secretary was informed that Ayushman Bharat Yojana was launched in Haryana on August 15, 2018. About 15.50 lakh families in the state are being covered under the scheme and it would benefit about 75 to 80 lakh people.
  • Those present in the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Mr. Rajiv Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research Department, Mr. Amit Jha, Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Mr. T.V.S.N Prasad, Principal Secretary, Housing Department, Mr. Shrikant Walgad, Principal Secretary, Electronics and Information Technology Department, Mr. Ankur Gupta, Principal Secretary, Labour Department, Mahavir Prasad, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Mrs. Amneet P. Kumar and other senior officers.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 9 – Haryana Higher Education Department will organise a workshop for the nodal officers of all government colleges, to impart training related to  Information Technology on January 18, 2019 in Panchkula.  
  • While giving this information today, a spokesman of the department said that in all government colleges, the department has initiated placement modules, complaints and redressal, Asset management, Student-teacher mapping, Education Setu application like E.R.P (Enterprise Resource Planning software) module and mobile application. For this, the teachers of colleges are required to be proficient about computer and in these software applications.
  • He said that Principals of all the government colleges have been directed on behalf of Director, Higher Education Department to send a senior teacher who has computer knowledge in the workshop to be held on January 18 in Government Post Graduate College, Sector 1, Panchkula. He said that these nodal officers appointed by the colleges, would work as master trainer in college, who would later impart training to all teachers and students of college.
  • He said that the nodal officers would be imparted training from 10 am to 12 pm in Ambala, Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Yamunanagar, Kaithal, Panipat and Jind districts and from 1 pm to 3 pm in Sonipat, Faridabad, Gururgram, Rohtak, Mewat (Nuh), Mahendragarh, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Sirsa, Palwal, Hisar and Jhajjar districts.
  • Chandigarh, Jan 9: The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 9.54 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 107.45 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 1.83 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 19.51 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has produced over 1.51 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 17.82 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal which has produced over 1.13 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 12.35 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, has produced over 1.02 quintals of sugar by crushing 11.29 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • Similarly, the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced 90,850 quintals of sugar by crushing 11.41 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced 72,225 quintals of sugar by crushing 7.72 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced  68,690 quintals of sugar by crushing 8.23 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Panipat has produced 64,475 quintals of sugar by crushing 6.96 lakh quintals of sugarcane, and Cooperative Sugar Mill and  Sonipat has produced 23,900 quintals of sugar by crushing 3.01 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has produced over 1.09 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 12.88 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • He said that so far, the average rate of sugar recovery by the cooperative sugar mills has been registered as 9.34 per cent.
