  • Chandigarh, January 26- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the 70th Republic Day and hoisted the National Flag at Bhim sports complex in Bhiwani today.
  • While addressing the people, the Chief Minister also announced to name the medical college in Bhiwani in the name of Freedom Fighter Pt. Neki Ram Sharma. During the programme, the Chief Minister also honoured freedom fighters and war widows with shawls. After the function, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stone of various projects to the tune of over Rs 83.26 crore, in Bhiwani.
  • While comparing the working of all Previous governments  with the present government since the inception of Haryana, the Chief Minister said that in the last over four years of the present government, corruption has curbed by making maximum use of information technology and youth are being given jobs on the basis of merit, in a transparent manner.  He said that in recently, declared results of Group D posts, out of total 18,218  over two thousand youth of Bhiwani district have been  selected.
  • The Chief Minister said that he has been serving the people of the state by following the principle of Haryana Ek, Haryanavi Ek and Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, without any kind of bias. He said that he was happy that the people are satisfied with the functioning of the state government.
  • He said that many glorious events of freedom struggle in India are linked to this Day. On the same day in the year 1930,  lakhs of people of the country took the pledge of Puran Swaraj  on the call of father of the Nation  Mahatma Gandhi. After Independence on August 15, 1947, on this day in 1950, the constitution of India came into force. Our Constitution was drafted under the able leadership of the first President of the country Dr. Rajendra Prasad and  capability of foresightedness of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and this Constitution symbolizes the determination of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. In the World’s largest Constitution, all were given equal rights.
  • He said that when the present government came to power over four years ago, many challenges laid before us primarily being   corruption. But, with the visionary guidance of  Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, we made many decisions to bring change in the state by following  Haryana Ek-Hariyanvi Ek Sabka Sath-Sabka Vikas and ‘Antyodaya’ of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. These decisions are bringing positive changes in the life of common man.
  • He said that today, I feel proud  that Haryana is one of the most developed states in the country, in terms of development. He said that we have fulfilled our commitment to give jobs to the youth on the basis of merit and transparently. In a record time, fair recruitments have been conducted for 18,218 posts of Group 'D'. In which, such youths have been selected, in whose family nobody has ever done a government job. Today, the youth of the state are busy in preparing for a government job, whereas in the previous governments, they used to spend more time finding other ways to get  government jobs.
  • He said that in the present government, more than 54,000 youth have been given government jobs and the recruitment process for 17,000 posts is in progress. He said that to provide equal opportunity to all in the jobs, Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi has made provision of 10 per cent reservation for economically weaker sections of general category. In 20th century, the architect of Indian Constitution, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had made provision of reservation for Scheduled Castes in government jobs and educational institutions. Now in 21st century, the Prime Minister has given this opportunity to every poor person to move forward.
  • He said that  115 Antyodaya Sral and over 4,000 Atal Seva Kendra have been opened, where all services and information related to government schemes are available under one roof. Haryana is the first state in the country, where one can get 485 schemes and services online through a single click through these centers. About 600 schemes and services would become online by the end of February. In the last four years, 31 new laws have been formed to easily provide the benefits of schemes and services to the public.
  • He said that Haryana is the first states in the country to provide the unemployed youth with 100 hours guaranteed job every month. A total of 49,540 youth have been given work in different departments and organizations of the government. In order to develop skills of youth, Shri Vishwakarma Kaushal University has been set up in Dudhola of Palwal district. The metro rail is expanding in the state and many over bridges and flyovers have been constructed. The work of Rohtak-Meham-Hansi railway line is under progress at a cost of Rs. 650 crore. A domestic airport has been developed in Hisar.
  • He said that Haryana Farmer Welfare Authority has been constituted for the welfare of the farmers. Country's first Bhawantar Bhapayi Yojana has been implemented in the state to make farming of vegetables risk free for farmers. Under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, claims to the tune of over Rs 1140 crore of 5.98 lakh farmers have been  received. A total of 340 villages of the state are being developed as Horticulture villages, which also includes three villages of Bhiwani assembly constituency.
  • He said that by equitable distribution of water, we have provided water to such tails of southern Haryana where water did not reach for the last three decades. The state’s power corporations have for the first time, come in profits and the line losses have reduced. With this, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has moved from 22nd to 10th place in the country and Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has come at 13th place from 24th place. Under 'Mahara Gaon, Jagmag Gaon  scheme, 3,205 villages of the state are being supplied 24 hours electricity on urban lines, including 30 villages of Bhiwani district.
  • Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 7,954 houses have been constructed in rural areas and construction of 10,758 houses are under construction. About 600 colonies have been regularized and Rs 1,000 crore have been released for their development. In the present government tenure, 10 new universities have been opened in the government and private sector in the state and the construction of Choudhary Bansi Lal University in Bhiwani is under progress. In last over four years, 44 new colleges have been opened, of which 29 are girls and 15 are co-education colleges. He said in 48 years of previous governments, only 31 girls colleges were opened in the state, whereas our government opened 29 new colleges in four years.
  • Chandigarh, January 26- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today after hoisting the National Flag on the occasion of 70th Republic Day, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of over 12 projects to the tune of over Rs 83.26 crores in District Bhiwani.
  • The Chief Minister inaugurated four projects from the Bhim Sports complex. The projects included newly constructed Independent Water Works at the cost of Rs 1.85 crore in village Sayarpur in Tehsil Loharu, new building in Bhim Stadium at the cost of Rs 3.25 crore, new building of Government ITI at the cost of Rs 3.35 crore, Sub Fire Station at the cost of over Rs 2.18 crore.  
  • The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of nine projects. The projects included Beautification of Ponds scheme in Bhiwani City at the cost of over Rs 10.13 crore,  link road Hassan to Devrala at the cost of over Rs 2.47 crore, reconstruction of Rajbaha RD 107200-189600 at the cost of over Rs 19.78 crore and reconstructed Rajbaha RD 0-67120 at the cost of over Rs 16.81 crore, improvement of Tosham-Bhiwani Bye Pass in Bhiwani city at the cost of over Rs 9.88 crore,  construction of sub Fire station, Loharu at the cost of Rs 83.86 lakh, construction of Independent Water Works in village Dhoolkot, Tehsil Siwani and in village Bithhan, Loharu sub-division, at the cost of about Rs 3 crore and Rs 3.10 crore, respectively and Government Women College in village Kairu  at the cost of over Rs 6.59 crore.
  • Chandigarh, January 26- Haryana Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya today hoisted the National Flag at a state level function organized at Parade Ground, Panchkula, on the occasion of the 70th Republic Day. 
  • The Governor inspected the parade and extended best wishes to people on the occasion of Republic Day. On the occasion, Mr Arya also paid homage to martyrs and freedom fighters at War Memorial in Panchkula and said that we have got freedom, due to their long struggle and great sacrifices.  As a result, today we are breathing freely in the country which is  world’s largest democracy.
  • He said that Post independence, setting up of governance system was a big challenge. Baba Saheb, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar accepted this challenge and became the architect of the Constitution of India.
  • He said that it is the need of the hour that the whole country should unite for nation-building. He said that Haryana is leading in many areas in the country which is the result of hard work and dedication of all people of the state. Durga Rapid Action Force has been formed for the security of school and college girls and other women. The police department has created a "Citizen Portal" where any person can register his or her complaint.
  • He said that to increase the income of farmers of the state, more than 47 lakh Soil Health Cards have been issued. Haryana Farmers' Welfare Authority has been constituted to resolve the problems of farmers.  The compensation amount given to farmers for the loss of damage of crops has been increased to Rs 12,000 per acre. Water has reached till all tail-ends to meet irrigation requirement. In order to strengthen and make more transparent the Panchayati Raj institutions, literate panchayats have been elected and in this, Haryana is the first state in the country.
  • He said that Faridabad, Karnal and Gurugram are being made "smart cities" in the state. Many significant efforts are being made in building new Haryana by linking the complete administrative system with new technology. With the use of technology, there would be transparency and benefits which would reach to the last person standing in the queue. Corruption has been curbed by initiating online services in the state and the people are getting prompt services.
  • He said that by furthering the vision of Digital India, 485 services of 37 departments in the state have been made online. More and more youth have been linked with Apprentice Programme, and resultantly, the state has been awarded “Champion of Change” Best State Award.
  • He said that Haryana has implemented its Start-up policy. Haryana is at the third place in Ease of Doing Business and at first place in North India. The Governor also announced Rs five lakh for grand presentation of various performances.
  • On the occasion, Haryana Police (men and women), Home Guard, (senior and junior) girls and boys of NCC, Girls and scouts and others school presented March Past. Other presentation included PT show, dog show organised by Madhuban Police, colourful cultural performances and attractive exhibition.  
  • Those present included Lady Governor, Mrs Saraswati Devi, MP, Ambala, Mr Rattan Lal Kataria, MLA, Kalka, Mr Latika Sharma, Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary, Finance,  Mr Keshni Anand Arora, Haryana Police Director General, Mr B.S. Sandhu and other senior officers.
  • Chandigarh, January 26- The Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Mr Krishna Murari today hoisted the tricolor on the occasion of 70th Republic Day in the premises of Punjab and Haryana High Court, here.
  • In his message, he paid tributes to the great national leaders, martyrs, freedom fighters and those who had contributed  in the long freedom struggle of India. He said that Independence came after a long struggle, in which lakhs of people participated. Under the leadership of father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, great freedom fighters gave us freedom.
  • He said that the Architect of the Constitution, Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had a far-sighted vision. He said that we are fortunate that we inherited his legacy as a constitution and as a republic.
  • He said that delivering justice is not just the responsibility of courts, but also of government, public and society. Advocate plays an important role in ensuring justice and they can also work to increase legal literacy among people. When people would be aware of their rights, they would successfully resolve their problems themselves without seeking  the intervention of court.  
  • On the occasion, school students and others presented colourful cultural performances and Justice Mr Krishna Murari also presented them with a citation. He also honored a jawan with a citation who was leading ITBP squad
