  • Chandigarh, Feb 2- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that the budget of the state government which  will be presented this month  would be on the lines of  Union Budget to benefit all  sections of the society. 
  • The Chief Minister was addressing the  Samalkha Vikas Rally organised at Village Jorassi in Panipat today.  
  • He said that process of online applications has been initiated for the creation of BPL cards and this would last for a month. After which survey would be conducted. Besides BPL cards, those who do not have APL and OPH cards, they can also apply in the same. He announced that the limits of the municipality of Samalkha city in district Panipat would be extended. 
  • He said that  3 or 5 kram passages in fields would be made pucca and in this phase, MLAs could get 25 km passages pucca and 100 km passages would be made pucca in the next phase.
  • He said that beautification works on the 10 acre area in Kala Amb would be carried out. An auditorium, digital museum and open theater would be constructed. Apart from this, arrangements would be made for light and sound show on 4 acres  on GT Road and a grand memorial of Emperor Vikramaditya would be constructed in Saudhapur.
  • On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of seven projects to the tune of Rs 53 crore for Samalkha. He announced to give Rs 10 crore for development works in rural areas and Rs 5 crore in urban areas of Samalkha constituency. He also announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh for Gurudwara, Rs 11 lakh for Punjabi Ramlila Sabha and Rs 11 lakh for Ravidas hostel.
  • On the demand of MLA, Samalkha, Mr Ravinder Machhrouli, the Chief Minister announced making  the three-km road at drain no.6 concrete, construction of a road from Kiwana to Manana, four-laning of road from Samalkha to Behauli, construction of vyayamshala at Garhi Chhaju, construction of road from Garhi Chhaju to Matanoli, GT Road to Machhrauli, GT road to Jhattipur and from Garhi Chhaju to Bhapra, mortuary in government hospital, library after the name of martyr in ward no.6 in Samalkha, widening of road from Jorassi to Karhans road.
  • He said that the government has covered 22 crops under  Minimum Support Price (MSP). Apart from this, under Bhawantar Bharpayee Yojana, four crops have also been covered. First time, farmers have been given compensation amount of Rs 12,000 per acre for damage of crops. 
  • He said that Saral Kendras and Antyodaya Bhawans have been set up at district and sub-divisional level to provide relief to all  from visiting government departments for availing benefit of various services and schemes. Atal Seva Kenderas have been set up at village level  for the convenience  of the people
  • He said that the state government is committed to conduct fair and transparent recruitment. The State Government has made an online transfer policy of teachers which is being appreciated by all. About 93 per cent teachers have been benefited from this transfer policy, he added.
  • The Chief Minister inaugurated 100-bedded General Hospital ( Multi Facility Hospital) in Manana at the cost of Rs 28 crore, newly constructed Hall for Ex-Serviceman at the cost of Rs 27 crore, Samalkha and 33 KV substation constructed at village Garhi Chhaju at the cost of Rs 2.5 crore.
  • He laid foundation stone for the construction of Punjabi Dharamshala at the cost of Rs 80 lakh and construction of bridge on Samalkha Bapoli pucca road at main drain no. 2 and construction of Road Under Bridge (RUB) on Delhi-Ambala section near Samalkha Railway Station at the cost of Rs 12.5 crore.
  • Transport Minister, Mr Krishan Lal Panwar and MLA, Samalkha Mr Ravinder Machhrouli also spoke on the occasion.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 2 – In Haryana, the 22nd All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) of the country will be established in Village Manethi, District Rewari.  An area of over an area of 220 acres has been identified for this purpose.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that it is a matter of great pride for the State that the Interim Union Finance Minister, Mr Piyush Goel announced 22nd AIIMS in Haryana in his budget speech yesterday.
  • He said that this is a major achievement for the State Government with the due efforts of Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal and Health Minister Mr Anil Vij.
  • He said that Government of India is establishing All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in various under-served States with the intention to correct regional imbalances in the availability of affordable/reliable Tertiary Health Care Services and also to augment facilities for quality Medical Education in Graduate, Post Graduate and Super-speciality level in the country.
  • He said that establishment of AIIMS in the State will provide opportunity for the Youth of Haryana to undergo both under Graduate and Post Graduate Medical Education in all its branches and relevant fields to bring together educational facilities of the highest order at one place and will mitigate the prevailing shortage of doctors in the State. This Centre of Excellence in medical education, training, healthcare and research imbued with scientific culture, compassion for the sick and commitment to serve the under privileged will prove to be a boon to the State.
  • He said that another important Government of India Project, National Cancer Institute at Badsa District Jhajjar, the first Institute in Northern India to have Proton facility for treatment of cancers, would likely to be fully functional by February or March 2019. The Outreach Outdoor Patient Department (OOPD) at the AIIMS extension campus has been functional since November, 2012 with daily OPD of 800-1000 patients at present.
  • Further to attain excellence in the field of health care, dedicated skilled clinicians, researchers are required through fundamental education and training in the centre of excellence Institutes like AIIMS. In order to provide quality health care facilities to the people of Haryana and to take care of growing demand of doctors, the State Government envisages having a Medical College and Hospital in every district. At present apart from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak three more Government Medical Colleges have been opened by the State Government namely Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat, Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, Nuh and Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, Karnal.
  • He said that Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, Karnal was inaugurated by the Chief Minister  on April  13,  2017 and the said Institute admitted its first batch of 100 MBBS Students in the Academic Session 2017-18. The Government Aided Medical College in Hisar namely Maharaj Agarsen Government Medical College Agroha has increased the MBBS intake from 50 to 100 seats from the academic session 2016-17. In addition three Private Medical Colleges have been established in the State namely World College of Medical Sciences and Research, Gurawar, Jhajjar (150 MBBS Seats), N.C. Medical College, Israna, Panipat (150 MBBS Seats) and Adesh Medical College, Shahabad, Kurukshetra.
  • A number of achievements in the field of Medical Education and provision of Tertiary Health Care Facilities have been made in the already existing Medical Colleges of the State.  The State of Art 120 Beds Dhanwantri Apex Trauma Centre has become operational since January 2018 and a 200 Beds Apex Mother and Child Hospital (largest in the North India) has been operationalized recently in PGIMS, Rohtak. New Super Speciality (DM/MCh) have been started in PGIMS, Rohtak and 24x7 MRI/CT Scan facility on PPP is being provided to the people of Haryana since March 2016 in all Government Medical Colleges.
  • The other major upcoming project in the Department of Medical Education and Research in Haryana is Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay University of Health Sciences which  is being established at Village Kutail, Karnal. The construction work of the Health University will start within three months. A Government Medical College is being established at Bhiwani by upgrading the District Hospital to a teaching hospital. This Government Medical College is being established under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Government of India. The construction will start within three months. Similarly a Government Medical College is being established in Gurugram and another is being constructed in Narnaul. State Government is in the process of establishing Government Medical Colleges at Jind, and Ambala also. A Government Dental College will also be established in the premises of Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, Nuh.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 2- While describing TB Free India Summit-2019 as an encouraging step, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today urged the people to collectively play an active role in making India TB Free by 2025,  to achieve the goal as set by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi.  
  • The Chief Minister was speaking at the inaugural function of India vs TB Cricket Competition organized during the two-day TB Free India Summit-2019 in New Delhi today.  The Summit is being organised by Member of Parliament, Mr Anurga Thakur.
  • The Chief Minister said that under National TB Control Program, the guidelines as given in National TB Elimination Scheme 2017- 2025 have to be complied with. For making Haryana free from TB, modified National TB Control Programme has been implemented.
  • He said that more than two lakh suspected cases are  mediacally examined in the hospitals of Haryana every year, of which after diagnosis about 45,000 TB patients are given medicines, out of which about 86 per cent patients get healthy. Apart from this, 119 TB Units, 266 Microscopic Centers have been opened under the Programme.
  • Free of cost, Dots plus programme is being run for multi-drug resistant TB patients in the state. CB knot machine is being provided in all the districts. Nine medical colleges of the state have been included in the revised National Tuberculosis Control Program, he added.
  • He said that in the direction of realizing the resolution of New India of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, we also have to make Healthy India. In this direction, Ayushman Bharat scheme is going to be very effective. The Chief Minister inaugurated the cricket match between Punjab CM XI and Haryana CM XI cricket teams. In which, Punjab CM XI defeated  Haryana CM XI in the match.
  • MP, Mr Anurag Thakur said that he was moving towards achieving the resolve of 'TB Harega, Desh Jitega’.
  • Haryana CM XI cricket team included Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs,  Mr. Karan Dev Kamboj, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi, MLA, ,  Mr. Gian Chand Gupta, MLA, Mr. Pawan Saini, MLA, Mr. Naresh Kaushik, MLA, Mr. Rajdeep Phogat, MLA, Mr Naseem Ahmed, MLA, Sukhvinder Sheoran and MLA, Mr Kuldeep Bishnoi were also present.
