  • Chandigarh, Feb 11 – The candidates and political parties getting printed publicity material from printing presses should have name of the printer and the publisher mentioned on the main page otherwise action will be taken against that printing press.
  • While stating this here today, the Joint Chief Election Officer of Haryana, Dr. Indra Jeet said that it is mandatory to follow Section 127-A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 in connection with printing of election material from printing presses.
  • Under this Act, no person would print or publish, or cause to be printed or published, any election pamphlet or poster which does not bear on its face the names and addresses of the printer and the publisher. He said that no person would print or cause to be printed any election pamphlet or poster unless a declaration as to the identity of the publisher thereof, signed by him and attested by two persons to whom he is personally known, is delivered by him to the printer in duplicate. Apart from this, within a reasonable time after printing, the printer will send the matter to the Chief Electoral Officer, where it is printed in the capital of the state and in any other case to the District Magistrate of the district in which it is printed.
  • Any person, who contravenes any of the provisions of sub-section (1) or sub-section (2), would be punishable with imprisonment for a term, which may extend to six months, or with fine, which may extend to Rs 2,000, or with both, he added.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 11 – Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi will launch the Swachh Shakti-2019 programme from Kurukshetra on February 12, 2019. On this occasion, Union Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Uma Bharti, Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya, and Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will preside over the function.
  • The Prime Minister will launch the Swachh Shakti-2019 programme from the Mela Ground of Brahma Sarovar, Kurukshetra. On this occasion, he will also inaugurate the National Cancer Institute at Jhajjar and the ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Faridabad. The Prime Minister will also lay foundation stones of National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University of Health Sciences, Karnal, Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra and Battles of Panipat Museum, Panipat.
  • There will be gracious presence of various dignitaries at project sites through video link. Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar and MP from Rohtak, Mr. Deepender Singh Hooda will be present at the National Cancer Institute, Jhajjar. Similarly, the Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishna Pal Gurjar, Haryana Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Nayab Singh and MLA of Badkhal, Mrs. Seema Trikha will be present at the ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Faridabad.
  • Union Minister of State for AYUSH, Mr. Shripad Yesso Naik, Haryana Health, Medical Education and Research and AYUSH Minister, Mr. Anil Vij and MP from Ambala, Mr. Rattan Lal Kataria will be present on the foundation laying ceremony of National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula. Similarly, Haryana Health, Medical Education and Research and AYUSH Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, MP from Karnal, Mr. Ashwini Chopra and MLA, Gharaunda, Mr. Harvinder Kalyan will be present at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University of Health Sciences, Karnal and Haryana Health, Medical Education and Research and AYUSH Minister, Mr. Anil Vij and MLA, Thanesar, Mr. Subhash Sudha will be present at Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra. Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma, MP from Karnal, Mr. Ashwini Chopra, MLA, Panipat (Rural), Mr. Mahipal Dhanda and MLA Panipat (Urban), Ms. Rohita Rewri will be present at Battles of Panipat Museum, Panipat.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 11: Haryana's Health and Sports Minister, Mr. Anil Vij today laid the foundation stone of sub-divisional secretariat and State Central Library to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 4152 lakh at Ambala Cantt., today.
  • On this occasion, he said that after the construction of this secretariat, all the offices will come under one roof and the residents will not have to go to other places for their work. He said that the best work is being done by the Government in all areas including health and education.      
  • The Health Minister said that the state government has given 54 thousand government jobs in the last four and a half years on purely merit basis. Similarly, transparency has been maintained in the transfers of employees.
  • Mr Vij said that the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi would inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of several major development projects from Kurukshetra on February 12 including Shri Krishna Ayush University, Kurukshetra, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University of Health, Karnal and National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula and inauguration of National Cancer Institute (NCI) at Badhsa village in Jhajjar from Kurukshetra.
  • On this occasion, while paying tribute to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Balidaan Diwas, Mr Vij said that according to the ideology of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, the Central as well as the State Government have been doing great development work for all-round development of even the last person standing in the row.
  • Chandigarh, February 11: Haryana Government has appointed Mr Raghunath Kashyap of Panipat as Chairman, Haryana State Co-operative Development Federation Limited with immediate effect.             
  • Born on March 10, 1970, Mr Raghunath Kashyap passed Bachelor of Technology in 1st division in Civil Engineer from Manav Bharti University Solan, Himachal Pradesh in 2012. He also did Master in Social Work (Distance Education) from Madurai Kamraj University Madurai in 2017.             
  • At present Mr Raghunath Kashyap is the State Senior Vice President in OBC Morcha.
  • Chandigarh February 11: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today laid the foundation stone of five projects to be constructed at Hansraj Khansar Pilgrimage at Safidon, Jind at a cost of Rs 43.22 crore. He also inaugurated a under bridge constructed on Assandh Road at Butana Canal Branch. A sum of Rs 3.20 crore has been spent on the construction of this under bridge.
  • The Chief Minister performed Puja at the old temple constructed at Hansraj Pilgrimage which dates back to Mahabharata period and also participated in the Yajna at the Sanskrit Pathshala being run at the Hansraj Tirath Complex.
  • Speaking on this occasion, Chief Minister said that pilgrimage falling under the radius of 48 Kos of Kurukshetra would be rejuvenated. I have already visited several pilgrimages and rejuvenation of these sites which are as old as of Mahabharat period is necessary to keep preserves the significance of these places, he added. Mr Manohar Lal went around the Hansraj Pilgrimage and said that work like the arrangement of fresh water at the site be undertaken so as to enable the pilgrims to take holy bath.
  • While addressing the girl’s students of Nursing College at Sarla Devi Government Women College, he appreciated the efforts of Management Committee of the college and said that social worker T.C. Gupta has done a yeomen service to the society by running the nursing college for women upliftment. Assuring all out support of government for promoting girls education, he said that the organizations related to women education in the State would be given assistance to make the women more empower.  He said that women colleges after every 20 kilometers are being opened in the State to give further boost to girl’s education. Apart from this, new courses are being conducted for creating more employment opportunities, said the Chief Minister adding that process will soon be initiated by Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) for the recruitment of 700 college lecturers.
  • Chandigarh February 11: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that in order to provide better medical facility to the people and to meet the requirement of doctors in hospitals of the State one medical college would be constructed in each district of the State. At present the State is getting 750 new doctors every year and a target has been set to increase this figure to 2000 in the coming few years.
  • Mr Manohar Lal disclosed this while interacting with the media persons in Jind today. Earlier, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 12 development projects costing about Rs 46.30 crore.
  • He said that Jind is such a district of the State which is connected to seven National Highways and the development here is being undertaken at a rapid pace. During the last four years, the BJP Government in the State has speed up the pace of development in the State by carrying out various development works. He said that the youth are being given government jobs on merit basis and to ensure that they get maximum employment opportunities, efforts are also being made to set up more industrial units in the State.
  • The Chief Minister said that work is being done on a detailed project to make available adequate canal based clean drinking water to the people of Jind. On the completion of this Rs 400 crore project, there would be no problem of drinking water in Jind, he added.
  • In reply to a question, he said that previous governments in the State used district Jind just as a platform to hold political rallies and never paid attention towards its development. As a result of this, it lagged way behind in terms of development. Contrary to this, he said the BJP Government during the last four years has done various development works for the development of this district. It got started the work for the construction of Regional Centre of Horticulture University. Besides, the work for the construction of Jind bypass has almost been completed. He said that the work for the construction of new bus stand near village Pindara is in progress. Apart from this, various other works aimed at the development of the district has been implemented. He assured that the government would leave no stone unturned for the development of Jind district.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 11- Haryana Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi would lay the foundation stone of three major projects of Health and Ayush Department and inaugurate National Cancer Institute (NCI) at Badhsa village in Jhajjar, on February 12, from Kurukshetra.
  • Mr Vij said that the Prime Minister would lay the foundation stone of Shri Krishna Ayush University, Kurukshetra, which is first of its kind in the world. It would provide the facility of education and treatment through Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathic medical systems. It would be constructed on about 94.5 acres at an estimated cost of about Rs 475 crore. Similarly, he would also lay the foundation stone of  Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University of Health, Karnal and National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula.
  • He said that the National Cancer Institute, which has been constructed in Badhsa at the cost of about Rs 2,035 crore, has 710 beds. The Institute would provide treatment of all stages of cancer. Apart from doctors rooms, about 800 rooms have been constructed for the attendants of patients in the institute. Besides this, a Center of Excellence is being set up as University in Kutail of Karnal District, which would have super speciality hospital with a trauma centre and would provide graduate and post-doctoral courses for students. This university would be developed on over 144 acres at an estimated cost of about Rs 750 crore.
  • He said that the National Institute of Ayurveda would be set up in Panchkula to provide unprecedented medical facilities in the field of Ayurveda. It would be constructed on 19.87 acres with the support of the Centre Government. About Rs 270.50 crore would be spent on its construction. Its Inpatient Department IPD would have 250 beds and would provide education facility to about 500 students in graduation, post graduation and PhD courses.

  • Chandigarh, Feb 11: Haryana Government has given Shrikant Walgad (IAS), Principal Secretary, Housing Department, the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department with immediate effect.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 11: The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 17.38 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 185.92 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 3.36 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 34.53 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has produced over 2.51 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 28.13 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal which has produced over 2.01 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 21.12 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, has produced over 1.70 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 18.03 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • Similarly, the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced 1.63 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 18.93 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced  over 1.50 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 16.53 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind has produced  over 1.42 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 14.82 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced over 1.25 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 13.02 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill,  Panipat has produced 1.20 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 12.44 lakh quintals of sugarcane, and Cooperative Sugar Mill Sonipat has produced 75,850 quintals of sugar by crushing 8.37 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has produced over 1.89 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 20.93 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
  • He said that so far, the average rate of sugar recovery by the cooperative sugar mills has been registered as 9.63 per cent.
