  • Chandigarh, Feb 20 – Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana Health Department, Mr. Rajiv Arora said that at the district level, all Civil Surgeons should ensure that under NHM, uninterrupted services should be provided in Sick New Born Care Units, Labor Rooms and in emergency. If required then services should be taken from regular employees working in the districts. If the service is not operated smoothly by engaging regular employees, then arrangement of staff should be made through outsourcing.
  • As far as the ambulance service is concerned, the services of drivers can be taken from the Haryana Roadways through Deputy Commissioner concerned, if required.
  • Mr. Arora was presiding over meeting with all Civil Surgeons through video conference, here today. Health Secretary and Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Mrs. Amneet P. Kumar, Director General, Health Services, Dr. Satish Aggarwal, Director, State Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Haryana, Dr. Sonia Trikha, Director (Admn.), National Health Mission, Dr. J. S. Grewal and other State Program Officers were also present in the meeting.
  • While addressing the Civil Surgeons, Mr. Arora said that some employees of National Health Mission, Haryana are on unconstitutional strike from February 5, 2019, and even before that the staff had gone on strike for almost 10 times in two years. He said that the service by-laws have been made on January 1, 2018 to safeguard the service of employees and anomalies in their salaries have been removed at Chief Minister’s level. The employees of NHM are being given annual increments, D.A and other benefits as per the service by-laws, which has resulted in financial burden of Rs 110 crore per year on the State Government.

  • Chandigarh, Feb 20 – All the officers and officials of Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department have donated their one-day salary to dependents of martyrs of recent Pulwama attack at Jammu and Kashmir, and those who attained martyrdom in army operation conducted after the attack.
  • In this direction, a cheque amounting to Rs 45 lakh, including Rs one lakh each to dependents of martyrs, was presented to Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar in the presence of Additional Chief Secretary of the Department, Mrs. Navraj Sandhu, Director General, Mr. Ajit Balaji Joshi and other senior officers, here today.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 20- In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, special camp is being organized in Haryana on February 23 and 24, 2019 to register each and every eligible person as voter, who aged 18 years as on January 1, 2019.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Office of Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, said that if any eligible person is not registered as voter yet, he/she can apply in Form-6 with two passport size photographs and Residence Proof both online at www.nvsp.in and offline.
  • He said that voter’s list is available with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) which will be used during the upcoming General Election to Lok Sabha 2019. Voters can check the name, polling station, DEO and BLO contact number, by dialing or sending SMS on 1950, that is, the Toll Free Voter Helpline Number.
  • The spokesman said that all the BLOs will be present at their polling stations for facilitation. All political parties are also requested to appoint Booth Level Agents, if not appointed, and instruct them to be present at the polling stations for help to make error free voter list.
