  • Chandigarh, Feb 21– Haryana government has issued transfer and posting orders of five HCS officers with immediate effect.
  • Ashok Kumar Bansal, Joint Chief Executive Officer, Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited, Gurugram has been given additional charge of Sub Divisional Officer (Civil)-cum-Additional Collector, Pataudi.
  • Ravinder Yadav, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram and Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Pataudi (Designate) has been posted Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Bawal and City Magistrate, Rewari.
  • Belina, Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Badkhal has been given additional charge of City Magistrate, Faridabad.
  • Gajender Singh, awaiting orders of posting, has been posted Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Firozepur Jhirka and City Magistrate, Nuh.
  • Yogesh Kumar Mehta, Additional Secretary, Health Department, Secretary, Haryana Right to Service Commission and Additional Secretary, Medical Education and Research Department has been given additional charge of Nodal Officer of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojna and related work in Directorate of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, against a newly created post.
  • Chandigarh February 21:  Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that like Sahibi River, lake and ponds would be constructed at 50 locations in the State for ground water recharging.
  • He said that with the rainy water entering into Sahibi River, the water level in the nearby areas have come up. The present BJP Government in the State has ensured water to the tail ends in the State, he added.
  • Mr Manohar today visited the residence of senior leader and former BJP State President Mr Om Parkash Grover in sector-3, Rewari and inquired about his well being. He said that Mr Grover is among the old dynamic leaders of the party. It may be recalled that Mr Grover is not feeling well for the last many days.
  • The Chief Minister said that BJP would form government in the State for the second consecutive term by winning more than 60 to 70 seats. On this occasion both Mr Manohar Lal and Mr Grover shared their old cherished memories.
  • Among those present on this occasion included Governor of Assam Mr Jagdish Mukhi, MLA Mr Tek Chand Sharma, State BJP Vice-President Dr Arvind Yadav, BJP District President Mr Yogender Paliwal, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ashok Kumar Sharma, Superintendent of Police Mr Rahul Sharma and other senior officers of district administration.
  • Chandigarh February 21 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today visited village Rajgarh in district Rewari and paid rich tributes to martyr Hari Singh.    
  • Expressing condolences to the family members of the martyr, he said that brave soldiers of Haryana have always made supreme sacrifices for their motherland whenever required and we are proud of it.
  • He said that the bravery with which our soldiers fought with the terrorists to safeguard our frontiers, with the same spirit, the whole country is today saluting their courage. The State Government has stood firm by the martyr’s family, he added.
  • It may be recalled that during an operation launched by Army at Pulwama- Piglina area in Srinagar, one officer and three jawans of 55-RR Battalion attained martyrdom and Hari Singh was one of them who laid down his life while fighting with the terrorists.
  • Martyr Hari Singh is survived by his mother Mrs Pista Devi, wife Mrs Radha Bai and 10 months old son Laksh. Mr Manohar Lal said that financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh has already been given to the martyr’s family. While, Rs 17.50 lakh each has been transferred in the bank accounts of martyr’s wife and son through RTGS, Rs 15 lakh has been transferred in the bank account of his mother. He also assured that martyr’s widow would be provided a government job.
  • Among those other who paid rich tributes to martyr Hari Singh included MLA Mr Tek Chand, senior officers of district administration and prominent people of the area.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 21– Mr Manoj Yadava, IPS Officer of 1988 batch, assumed the charge of Director General of Police, Haryana at State Police Headquarters in Panchkula today.
  • Before taking charge as DGP, Mr Manoj Yadava took Guard of Honour. The senior police officers congratulated Mr Yadava after later assumed the charge of the office from officiating DGP, Dr K.P. Singh.
  • Newly appointed DGP, while interacting with media persons said that maintaining law and order, effective prevention and detection of crime, better investigation, providing safe and secure environment to women and also to weaker sections of the society will be among his top priorities. He mentioned that General Parliamentary Elections are round the corner, thus he would also ensure to make all necessary possible arrangements to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections in the State.
  • Describing Haryana Police as one of the best police force, Mr Yadava said that it is an honour for him to serve as DGP of Haryana.  and recalled  the time when he  has begun  his career in Haryana Police. There have been lot of initiatives that have been undertaken by Haryana Police in the past, which are extremely laudable. We will further try our best with the help of citizens to strengthen them besides initiating new ones, he stated.
  • In reply to a question, the DGP said that Haryana is my home and he has never remained untouched with the State. “While being on deputation at Centre, I have been in touch with senior functionaries of state police force”, he added.
  • When asked about the police arrangements in the light of recent terrorist incident in Pulwama, he said that terrorism does not  limit  to  any border or jurisdiction. We are fully geared up and emphasis would be given on capacity building in police force. STF had already been set up headed by an IGP level officer.  Proposal for setting up Anti-Terrorism Squad and Quick Response Teams is under active consideration of the State Government. Police will take all necessary steps in this direction.
  • On being asked to comment on efficiency of State intelligence, the DGP said that intelligence wing of Haryana Police is one of the best in the country. To make better coordination with the central intelligence agencies will also be our priority.
  • Director General Prisons Mr K. Selvaraj, Director General Crime Mr P.K. Agrawal, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Law and Order Mohd Akil, ADGP Crime Against Woman, Mr Ajay Singal, ADGP Operations and IT, Mr A.S. Chawla, IGP Modernization Mr H.S. Doon, CP Panchkula Mr Saurabh Singh and a number of other senior police officers were also present on this occasion.
  • Mr Manoj Yadava, a 1988 batch IPS officer from Aligarh UP, was born in 1965; he has Masters in Economics (Gold Medalist). Apart from this, he also received MBA (Gold Medal) from Aligarh Muslim University.
  • He has served as ASP Hansi, Sirsa, Ambala, Additional SP Rohtak, SP Security, Traffic and Crime UT Chandigarh. Before going to central deputation, he also served as SP Fatehabad, Panipat, Panchkula and Ambala. Apart from this, he has also served as Contingent Commander, Indian Civil Police Contingent to UN Mission in Kosovo.
  • Mr Yadava was also awarded the UN Peace keeping medal in recognition of efforts towards setting up the fledgling Kosovo Police Service. Apart from this, he has also been decorated with the Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service, President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Services, Police Hard Duty Medal with Bar and seven commendation certificates from IB.
  • Apart from this, Mr Yadava has also authored a book titled “History of Haryana Police” which was released by former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Mr L.K Advani in the year 2002.
  • Chandigarh February 21: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today visited village Atali in district Faridabad and paid rich tributes to martyr Nayak Sandeep Kumar. Expressing condolences to the bereaved family members, Mr Manohar Lal assured them all support and cooperation of the State Government.
  • Nayak Sandeep Kumar who got injured during an encounter with the terrorists was admitted in the Army base hospital where he succumbed to the injuries on February 19.
  • Mr Manohar  Lal  said that by sacrificing his life for the security of motherland, Nayak Sandeep Kumar has made  not only his village and district proud  but also the State and the country. Sandeep showed indomitable courage while fighting with the terrorists during a search operation in Srinagar thus set an example for others. The whole country salute to his martyrdom, he added.
  • Expressing condolences to Mr Nainpal Singh, father of martyr Sandeep Kumar and other family members, Mr Manohar Lal said an ex-gratia amount of Rs 50 lakh has been deposited by the State Government into their bank accounts. Apart from this, one family member of the martyr would be provided a government job on compassionate ground soon. This is the right of martyr; he said adding that in addition to the assistance being given by the State Government, other facilities from Central Government would also be given to family members. He said that on the demand of villagers, the Government School of village Atali would be named after martyr Sandeep Kumar. Nayak Sandeep Kumar has sacrificed his life to serve the country and we all are proud on his martyrdom, he added.
  • He said that the sacrifice made by Nayak Sandeep Kumar would not go in vain as it would always remain a source of inspiration for other youth. He said that the State Government is giving all possible assistance to the family members of the martyrs.  He said that Hari Singh of Rajgarh in district Rewari has also set an example by sacrificing his life in service to the country. People would always remain indebted to such martyrs, he further added.  
  • Mr Manohar   Lal also met Mrs Kesar Devi mother of martyr Sandeep Kumar, wife Gita Devi, father Nainpal  Singh, sisters namely Urmila and Nirmla, younger brother Sonu , daughter Lvanya and son Rakshit and Rashit.
  • Those other who paid tributes to the martyr included MLA Mr Tek Chand Sharma, Chairman of Haryana State Cooperative Labour and Construction Federation Mr Surinder Tewatia, senior officers of the district administration and prominent people of the area.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 21 – Haryana Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department has increased the commission/margin of all depot holders in the state from Rs 100 to Rs 150 per quintals.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesperson of the Department said that the work of distribution of food grains, wheat, millet and fortified flour is done by the State Government through depot holders. The depot holders will now get Rs 150 per quintal instead of commission/margin Rs 100 per quintal from the Department. With this, the average monthly income of depot holders is expected to increase from Rs 9,000 to Rs 12,000.
  • He said that the essential items in the state are being distributed through depot holders on Aadhaar card based online sale, which has brought transparency in distribution work. Haryana is known as a role model in Public Distribution System in the whole of the country.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 21: Haryana IAS Officers Association has decided to provide financial assistance to the dependents of the Pulwama martyrs.
  • In a letter issued by the Treasurer of the Association, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, the said amount would be deposited in the CRPF Relief Fund. Additional Chief Secretary rank officer would donate Rs 10,000, super time scale or senior scale officer would donate Rs 5,000 and new IAS officer would donate Rs 2,500 respectively, towards the CRPF Relief Fund.
  • Notably, 44 Jawans of CRPF attained martyrdom and several others injured in the terrorist attack in Pulwama (Jammu and Kashmir) on February 14, 2019.
