  • Chandigarh, Feb 24 – Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Mr. Vipul Goel said that significant work has been done in the field of skill development in the state. He said that alongwith Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Skill Development Centers, 15 new Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) have been established and work is in progress to start 19 new ITIs. Apart from this, modern ITIs are also being made in the state. He said that the skill program is being implemented in the industries with full strength so that the youth can be made proficient in their skills.
  • Mr. Goel was addressing the industrialists and ‘Saksham Saathis’ in the Rozgar Shikhar Sammelan-2019 and the Saksham Saathi farewell function organized by Haryana Skill Development Mission at Faridabad today.
  • On this occasion, he also honored the training partner and Saksham Saathis. He said that at present, 2,000 students are taking training in the Shri Vishwakarma Skill University. After completion of the university's construction work, 12,000 students together will be able to get training there. He said that this university will be able to prepare skilled manpower for industries located in North India.
  • He said that Haryana has reached to third position in the country in terms of Ease of Doing Business. It is expected that the state will further progress in the coming years. He said that programs like Make in India and Skills India launched by Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi have benefitted the youth a lot. A good environment has been prepared for the industries in the state. He said that ITI institutions are being made very well in the state. Earlier, the condition of these institutions was poor, but today the new buildings or facilities have been made constructed in all the ITIs in the state. The government is also organizing youth competitions for better skill development. The Prime Minister is of the view that India is a country of youth and it can move forward only on the strength of youth skills.
  • Speaking on the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department, Mr. Devender Singh said that new Industrial Policy has been formulated in the state. Now, the youth passing from Engineering Colleges and Industrial Training Institutes are being given skill development training in the industries and industries are also getting talented manpower. The unemployed youth is getting big advantage of the skill development campaign of the government. Now the youth of India is participating in international level skill development programs. About 30,000 apprentices are working in private institutions and more than 56,000 apprentices are working in government and industries.
  • Vice-Chancellor, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University and Director, Haryana Skill Development Mission, Raj Nehru said that skill development is growing rapidly in Haryana. There are about 95 training partners in which 500 partners are working as members. As many as 273 training centers have been established in the state where more than 110 job-oriented courses are being run. He said that provision of new courses has been made and various types of resources are being established. During the last one year, 40,000 youth were trained in skill development and more than 12,000 youth got certificate courses.
  • On this occasion, the Mr. Vipul Goel honoured the University's Controller of Examinations, Mrs. Chanchal Bharadwaj for outstanding work in the field of skill development.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 24 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that a target has been set to double the area under horticulture and to increase the horticulture products by three times by the year 2030 and in this direction, 340 villages would be developed as Horticulture Villages through 140 Crop Clusters being established in the state. He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, about 10 lakh farmers of Haryana have been provided Rs 200 crore in their bank accounts today.
  • On the inauguration of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana held at village Khudana in district Mahendragarh, the Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi on behalf of the farmers of Haryana.
  • He said that in the last four years, the horticulture area has increased from 4.39 lakh hectare to 5.28 lakh hectare in Haryana. At present, the area of horticulture in Haryana is 8.17 per cent of the total agriculture sector and the target is to increase this area up to 15 per cent. Maharana Pratap Horticulture University has been established in Karnal for horticulture research. Regional centers of Horticulture University are also being set up at Ambala, Jhajjar and Jind.
  • He said that in the direction of the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi's goal of doubling the income of farmers by the year 2022, the State Government has provided all possible assistance and facilities to the farmer. He said that the State Government has given maximum compensation to the farmers for losses caused to the crops due to natural calamities. He said that the Haryana Government has made policy changes for the upliftment and welfare of all sections and given highest priority to development of agriculture sector.
  • The Chief Minister said that under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Rs  1140.98 crore has been given as compensation to 98,000 farmers of Haryana. The present State Government has made unprecedented increase in compensation amount to the farmers for the loss of crops due to natural calamities, under which farmers are given Rs 12,000 per acre.
  • Mr. Manohar Lal said that in order to promote organic farming in the state, the state government has sent a scheme of Rs. 450 crore to the Central Government. The Chief Minister said that micro irrigation project with 85 percent grant has been started in 36 block of the State with excessive water harness. For the first time in Haryana, irrigation water has reached to 1343 tail ends of canals out of the 1350 tail ends of canals. The State Pond Management Authority has been constituted for the protection and improvement of 14,000 ponds in the state.
  • In the inauguration ceremony of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Chief Minister presented certificates of the Yojana to 13 farmers.
  • Speaking on the occasion, Education and Tourism Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma said that the agricultural sector has become financially sound as a result of the decisions taken under the leadership of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal. He said that the Chief Minister has carried out equitable development of all the areas in the state and in this sequence, unprecedented development has taken place in Mahendragarh district. The Minister raised various demands of the Mahendragarh Assembly Constituency before Chief Minister.
  • Member of Parliament, Mr. Dharambir Singh said that adequate irrigation water will be available in the region, particularly in the southern Haryana region, due to the availability of 47.82 per cent of the water from the Lakhwar Multipurpose Dam Project, which is being constructed on the Upper Yamuna Basin and the Renuka Ji Multipurpose Dam Project.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 24 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal announced that the Haryana Government will bear the amount of monthly share to be paid by workers of the State under the Pradhan Mantri Shramjivi Mandhan Yojana. Apart from this, the kutcha roads of fields with width of 03 and 04 Karam up to 100 km in each assembly constituency of the state will be made pucca with bricks in the next financial year.
  • While addressing the Vikas Rally organized on the launch of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana organized at Khudana in district Mahendragarh, the Chief Minister said that under the Pradhan Mantri Shramjivi Mandhan Yojana, the Haryana Government will bear the amount of monthly share of Rs 50 to Rs 200 of beneficiaries of the age group between 18 and 40 years of age. Apart from this, during the financial year 2019-2020, the kutcha roads of the fields of 03 Karam and 04 Karam width up to a total of 100 kms will be made pucca with bricks in each Assembly Constituency.
  • The Chief Minister said that arrangement has been made to fill all the ponds of the state twice a year with canal water. Apart from this, 14,000 ponds of the state will be protected and developed through State Pond Management Authority.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 24 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today inaugurated one project  and laid the foundation stones of 12 projects   amounting to Rs 452.45 crore for the development of district Mahendragarh. On the occasion, Education and Tourism Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma raised various demands related to the development of the Mahendragarh Assembly Constituency to which the Chief Minister said that the State Government will make every possible effort to fulfill all possible demands.
  • The inauguration and laying of foundation stones of the projects was done in the Vikas Rally organized on the occasion of inauguration of ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna’ at village Khudana, district Mahendragarh.
  • In his address, the Chief Minister said that the State Government has carried out equitable development in all areas of the state. In order to provide all types of facilities to the citizens, the State Government has given a steady pace in the order of planned form of development. As a result of various projects, development has been given new direction in district Mahendragarh. The development of IMT (Industrial Model Township) over 960 acres in village Khudana at a cost of Rs. 200 crore will create jobs which will bring economic prosperity in the area. The Canal based water distribution scheme costing Rs 124.43 crore will make available adequate water to 25 villages and 09 dhanis of Satnali block of district Mahendragarh. With the underground pipes irrigation water supply scheme costing Rs. 23.83 crore, water will be available to total nine villages in the district for irrigation purposes.
  • Referring to the progress of various development works in the Mahendragarh district area, the Chief Minister said that work of lift irrigation system in the area is on progress at a cost of Rs. 143 crore. Reach of water has been ensured at 92 out of 96 tail end of canals in the district. The construction of the Indo-Israel Center of Excellence for Vegetable at the cost of Rs 10 crore is in progress in Sundrah, Mahendragarh. The construction work of college buildings at villages Unhani and Chilro in Kanina and Nizampur blocks, respectively, at the cost of Rs 12.12 crore, is in the final stages. The construction of Railway Over Bridge at the cost of Rs. 25 crore at Ateli-Behrod road is in the last phase. Similarly, the construction of the building of Industrial Training Institute at Sujapur, costing Rs. 4.47 crore is near completion and classes will be started from the academic session 2019-2020. The bus stand at Satnali has been constructed at a total cost of Rs. 1.64 crore, he added.
  • The Chief Minister said that construction work of first medical college of district Mahendragarh will be completed in a period of two years, being set up at a cost of Rs 500 crore over 80 acres. Work of making four-lane two national highways passing through Mahendragarh district has been entrusted to the Central Government. He said that the Central Government will spend Rs. 99 crore and the State Government will spend Rs. 48 crore to develop the historic fort of Mahendergarh as a tourist destination. A war memorial will also be constructed in village Nasirpur, Mahendragarh.
  • He said that the foundation stones of different projects laid by Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal included industrial estate to be developed at Khudana village Mahendragarh at a cost of Rs. 200 crore, canal based water distribution scheme at a cost of Rs. 124.43 crore, construction of government houses at a cost of Rs 35.95 crore, underground pipe irrigation water supply scheme costing Rs. 23.83 crore, development works of tourism infrastructure at Madhogarh at a cost of Rs 29.60 crore, construction of sewerage system at Satnali at a cost of Rs 10.60 crore, construction of multipurpose auditorium in government college Ateli at a cost of Rs 6.70 crore, construction of multipurpose auditorium in government college Narnaul at a cost of Rs 5.65 crore, construction of 12 class rooms in government college at Narnaul at a cost of Rs 3.60 crore, construction of fire station at village Chelawas at a cost of Rs 2.34 crore and construction of fire station at village Neerpur at a cost of Rs 2.34 crore. Apart from this, it also included inauguration of 33 KV sub station, Surehti, Jakhal established at a cost of Rs 3.60 crore.

  • Chandigarh, Feb 24 – Haryana Police has issued directions to prevent acts of violence, discrimination and other coercive acts against Kashmiris (including students enrolled with the institutions) and other minorities, in the state.
  • While stating this here today, ADGP, Law and Order, Mohd. Akil said that a written communication has been issued to all Commissioners of Police, District Superintendents of Police, Superintendents of Police, Railways and DCP Panchkula to take all possible steps to ensure the safety and security of Kashmiri students, Kashmiri traders, other persons of Kashmiri origin and other minorities in the wake of the terrorist attack in Pulwama on February 14, 2019. They have been directed to take prompt and necessary action to prevent incidents of assault, threat, social boycotts and such other egregious acts against them.
  • Mohd. Akil said that they have also been directed to intensify collection of intelligence inputs and the intelligence machinery be sharpened. He said that deployment of police force at strategic locations be made with a view to maintain peace, law and order, and harmony. This should be done in consultation with the respective Deputy Commissioners, he added.
  • He said that Reserve Force in anti-riot gear be kept ready for movement at short notice and maintain close co-ordination with the State and Central Intelligence agencies. The entire security apparatus be kept at high alert and strict action must be taken against anybody found indulging in disruptive activities or taking law in his hands. Senior police officers would personally keep a watch on this situation and headquarters be kept informed of all-important happenings, he added.
