  • Chandigarh, March 4: With a view to fight the menace of drugs, Haryana will have the support of social organizations, Film and sports celebrities of the State under ‘Drug Free Haryana’ campaign and a huge award show will be organised in Rohtak on March 18.  
  • While giving details, an official spokesman said that in the recent past, Haryana hosted the conference of seven northern States to curb drug menace in which all these States expressed their concern towards youth falling victims of drug addiction. To save the youth from drug addiction, the State has now started associating with social organisations. In this series, Vaidh Amir Singh Memorial Foundation (already working against drug addiction from a long time)  is organising  a huge award show on March 18 so as to inspire the youth to refrain from drug addiction The various celebrities from sports, films and folk art, who are the source of inspiration for the youth in some way, would share the stage in this program. Through this event, these artists will inspire the youth to refrain from drug addiction and would also be awarded by the organization.
  • Chairperson, Mrs Murti Devi said that the organization promises to make the society free from all the social evils. The event will support the State in its fight against drugs, as the celebrities and artists are the role model for the youth and play an important role in inspiring the youth.
  • Secretary, Vaidh Amir Singh Memorial Foundation, Mr. Devender Chidana said that  the award show will be organised in the playground of Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma, University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, and will be the biggest  Music and Entertainment Award show of Haryana along with around 10,000 youth joining this event. Apart from this, the event will be broadcasted live on TV channels, Facebook, YouTube, Radio FM etc.
  • After the various performances, the Awards will be  given in different categories including best You-Tuber, Best comedian, best singer ( male and female), best rap and hip hop, Best Music Director, Video Director, most famous artist of Haryana, the  pride of Haryana, super hit song of the year, best-performing (male – female), best writer-lyricist , Lifetime Achievement Award,  Youth icon.
  • Chandigarh, March 4--Translating the vision of the Prime Minister to transform our farmers from “annadata to urjadata”, the Haryana Government has undertaken several initiatives in the field of renewable energy. These include notification of the Bio Energy Policy-2018 to promote biomass energy projects in the state.
  • Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the steps planned under the policy would turn our farmers from net consumers to net producers and suppliers of surplus power.
  • Under the Bio Energy Policy, target has been set to set up projects of 150 MW by 2022; install grid connected roof-top solar power plants of 18.0 MW capacity in 2018-19 and 30 MW in 2019-20; and implement a scheme to provide solar water pumping systems to the farmers to meet their irrigation needs.
  • Under this scheme, farmers are being provided 2 HP and 5HP solar water pumping systems with 75 per cent state subsidy and 25 per cent user share. The government also plans to install 50,000 off-grid solar pumps of 3 HP to 10 HP capacity with loan from NABARD, with 75 per cent state subsidy, in two phases.
  • While 15,000 pumps are planned to be installed in the first phase in 2018-19, 35,000 would be set up in second phase in 2019-20. These measures will turn our farmers from net consumers to net producers and suppliers of power, the spokesman added.
  • Chandigarh, March 4—The slew of concrete measures taken by the Haryana Government to increase the per capita income in the last four years, and diversify the sources of income for persons employed in the agriculture sector, have paid rich dividends.  
  • Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman said that since 2014-15, the per capita income (PCI) of the state is estimated to have increased by over 34 per cent at constant prices. The per capita income of the state at constant prices in 2017-18 was estimated at Rs.1,57,649, which is likely to further increase to Rs.1,68,209 in 2018-19 as compared to the all-India figure of Rs.91,921.
  • The per capita income of the state at current prices in 2014-15 was Rs 1,47,382. In 2017-18, it was estimated at Rs 2,03,340 which is likely to further increase to Rs 2,26,644 in 2018-19, as compared to the all-India figure of Rs 1,25,397 in 2018-19, making Haryana one of the leading states with the highest per capita income among the major states in the country.
  • Referring to the efforts made to diversify the sources of income of persons employed in the primary sector, the spokesman said the growth rate of income from livestock, fishing and aquaculture had gone up. The highest growth rate is estimated to be in livestock at 11.1 per cent, followed by pisciculture and aquaculture at 7.4 per cent.
  • The growth of Gross State Value Added (GSVA) in the primary sector has been estimated at 5.5 per cent, he added.
  • Chandigarh, March 4- Union Minister of Steel, Ch. Birender Singh will inaugurate a camp organized by Health Department on March 6, 2019 in Jhajjar. Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P. Dhankar will preside over the programme.
  • An official spokesman said that during the camp, free examination of diseases related to eye, teeth, heart, Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT), gynaecology, Pediatrics and skin, would be conducted. Apart from this, treatment facility would also be provided through Ayurveda, Homeopathic, Yoga and Unani. In this camp, free medicines would also be distributed. Besides this, laboratory tests would be also be conducted.
  • Chandigarh, March 4- On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, a state-level Pink Marathon race would be organised in Panipat. All women participating in the Marathon will be dressed in Pink colour. The Organisation of this Marathon would set a new record.
  • While giving this information, an official spokesman said that Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal would address the women participating in the Marathon at 7 am and would inaugurate the Marathon at 8 am. In this Marathon, 5 kms and 10 kms race would be organised. Those securing the first, second and third place in 5 kms race would get a cash prize of Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively, whereas those securing the first, second and third place in 10 kms race would get a cash prize of Rs 31,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 20,000, respectively.
  • He said that the theme of this State-Level Marathon would be Women Empowerment and programmes infused with patriotism would be organised. This would send out a global message that the mothers, sisters and grandmothers of brave soldiers are as brave as them.
