Chandigarh, March 9- An administrative tower will be constructed in Gurugram, which will house all the offices of Government departments. This tower will be built in the area adjoining Mini-Secretariat.
The Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Mrs Keshni Anand Arora today convened a meeting of the concerned officers in Gurugram, about the construction of this administrative tower and other activities related to the revenue department.
Mrs Arora said that the Administrative Tower will be built in which all government departments will be shifted so that people do not have any difficulty in getting their works done. She also viewed the land surrounding the Mini-secretariat for this tower.
Mrs Arora constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Superintending Engineer, Public Works Department, who will prepare the layout plan by demarcating the land around the Mini-Secretariat. In this committee, besides the SDM of Gurugram North, District Revenue Officer and representatives of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority will be involved.
The committee will plan out the entire area, from the Rajiv Chowk to the Tower of Justice and its adjoining agriculture department and the building area of Excise and Taxation Department. In the planning, administrative towers, parking of vehicles, residential towers for officials and employees, HRERA Bhawan, construction of community center, traffic route for vehicles movement etc. will be identified.
It was suggested that arrangements of 3-level parking should be made in the basement of the administrative tower besides arrangements for multi level parking should also be made in the Mini-Secretariat. She also directed traffic police to prepare the traffic plan for this area.
Mrs Arora constituted another committee under the chairmanship of the Commissioner of Gurugram Division in which the Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram has been included. This committee will decide on which offices will be shifted in the new administrative tower to be constructed and which will remain in the mini-secretariat.
Later while interacting with the media persons, Mrs Arora said that the Revenue Department has started work on several new projects, one of which is the work of computerization of the record room, for which tender has been allocated. After computerisation of all records, records will never be damaged or lost which will benefit the people. She said that a MoU has been signed with Survey General of India in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lalfor largescale mapping using UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) / Drone for Revenue, Urban and Rural area including ground control network and delivery of geo-referenced cadastral revenue maps for the State.The basic requirements for this project were also discussed in the meeting today.
Chandigarh, March 9 In Haryana, as many as 294 habitations will be benefitted by sufficient drinking water supply through various planned projects in the next financial year 2019-20 as compared to 157 identified habitations benefitted in the year 2018-19.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that at present, 13 schemes for augmentation of water supply, with a total investment of Rs. 1,059.33 crore, are in progress in more than 410 villages and 79 Dhanies in 6 districts namely, Rewari, Mahendergarh, Hisar, Palwal, Nuh (Mewat) and Jind, with financial assistance of NABARD. All the 80 towns falling under the jurisdiction of Public Health Engineering Department have been provided with piped water supply system.
He said that major parts of 78 towns of the State have been extended sewerage facilities, whereas work of laying sewerage facilities is in progress in 2 towns of Bhuna and Barara. NCR Planning Board is providing financial support for improving the existing water supply and sewerage infrastructure in the National Capital Region. Water supply schemes in 3 towns namely Farrukh Nagar, Nuh, and Haily Mandi - Patuadi falling in the National Capital Region have been commissioned during the year with a total cost of Rs.205.05 crore. As many as 9 Projects, for improving the capacity of sewerage scheme of 9 towns namely, Sohna, Beri, Jhajjar, Kalanaur, Sampla, Kharkhauda, Ganaur, Hodal and Smalakha, have been approved with an estimated cost of Rs. 72.11 crore, in November 2018 by NCRPB. 121.
He said that an outlay of Rs. 3605.32 crore has been allocated in 2019-20 for Public Health Engineering Department, vis-vis Rs 3590.47 crore in revised estimates in the year 2018-19

Chandigarh, March 9 Continuing with the crackdown on drug-peddlers, Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police has arrested three persons on the charges of drug peddling from district Gurugram and recovered 5 kg 100 gram opium worth lakhs of rupees from their possession.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that all three accused were arrested by STF Gurugram during a raid following a tip-off from Surya Vihar, Dunda hera border area in the district.
The arrested accused have been identified as Deepak Sahni and Ranjeet Ram, both resident of district Begusarai in Bihar and Ravinder of district Mau in Uttarpradesh.After receiving specific information, the STF team acted swiftly and nabbed all three persons along with the contraband.
Divulging the details, he said that STF team during patrolling in a vehicle has got specific inputs concerned with the smuggling of narcotics. On getting information, the team immediately swung into action and arrested three suspicious persons from Surya Vihar, Dunda hera border area. When searched, three packets each having 1 kg 700 gram opium was recovered from them.
A case was registered against them under provisions of the NDPS Act at Police Station, Udyog Vihar, Gurugram.
Chandigarh March 9: Haryana Government has decided to revise the pension of teaching and non teaching employees of privately managed government aided schools as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) on the basis of revision of State Government for its employees.
While stating this here today, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard. He said the pension rules introduced for privately managed government aided schools would be followed while revising the pension of these employees.
Capt. Abhimanyu said that the Finance Department has already given its concurrence for revision of pay scale as per 7th CPC of the teaching and non-teaching employees of aided schools on January 3, 2018. Now, the pension of these employees would be revised as per the 7th CPC on the basis of revision of state government for its employees. The decision would create financial liability of about Rs 47.12 crore on account of arrear from January 1, 2016 to November 30, 2018, he added.
Chandigarh March 9: Haryana Government has decided to pay allowances to the warder staff of the Prisons Department at par with the Police Department with immediate effect.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Jails Department said the Finance Department has approved a proposal in this regard.
He said that allowances which would be given to warder staff of the Prisons Department at par with Police Department included Ration Money of Rs 600, Kit Maintenance Allowance of Rs 100 and Conveyance Allowance of Rs 50.
Chandigarh, March 9 ; In order to ensure comfortable and encouraging participation of Divyang voters into the polling, Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued several guidelines.In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha General Election-2019, Divyang voters will be provided several facilities at polling booth on polling day. Besides, the PwD- Mobile App has also been launched by the Commission to provide maximum number of services to the Divyang voters, which can be downloaded from PlayStore on Android Mobile.
Giving this information today, Joint Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Dr.Inderjeesaid that ECI has issued such guidelines to ensure participation of all the sections of the society and also make the polling booths easily accessible so that no voter is left out.
He said that making available vehicles to the voting booth from the house on the voting day, ramp facility, water facility, light facility, wheelchair facility and Braille Facilities of Ballet Paper / Braille Voter Slip will be provided to divyang voters.
He informed that the PWD Mobile app will enable the Divyang voters to enter the name of the new eligible person or change in the details of the names already registered.
He said that if any voter is Divyang, then after downloading this app, first mark as Divyang. He said that Divyang voters can also request wheelchairs by the said app on polling day. For that, they will have to upload and send their EPIC number on their app before polling day so that necessary arrangements can be made.
Dr. Inderjeet said that on the day of polling a Voter Helpline desk will be set up outside the polling station by booth level officer, through which Divyang voters will be made aware about the voting process. He said that all Divyang voters are appealed to check their name in the electoral roll of their assembly constituency, if for any reason the name of any eligible voter is not registered in the current voter list in 2019, then enter his or her name One can apply online by filling form no. 6 online. Apart from this, one can make their vote by filing the form no. 6 and depositing it with the District Electoral Office, Electoral Registration Officer or Booth Level Officer. All Divyang voters are requested to take advantage of the said facilities as per their requirement and use their right of voting.
