  • Chandigarh, March 2 – Haryana Urban Local Bodies Department has started several online services for industries through HEPC (Single Window Clearance Portal) and appealed the industrialists to make maximum use of online services to avail benefits of different schemes of the Department.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesperson of the Department said that through online system, the industrialists can know the status of their application besides obtaining different certificates through online portal.
  • He said that the services being provided online include approval of building plan, issuance of business licences, approval of fire fighting scheme or fire N.O.C, information of outstanding property tax and issuance of occupation certificate.
  • Chandigarh, March 2-  Haryana Government has  allocated a budget of Rs. 3324.51 crore to irrigation and water resources  for the next financial year  2019-20, which is 6.2 per cent increase over revised estimates 2018-19 outlay of Rs. 3130.63 crore.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman of the Irrigation and Water Resources department said that the Government has taken a number of policy initiatives to realise the vision of “Har Khet Ko Pani”.
  • He said that the Government has extended the lined watercourses from 24 feet per acre to 40 feet per acre of Culturable Command Area, to achieve a substantial increase in intensity of irrigation in the State. To utilize the surplus water during monsoon period in river Yamuna, a project costing Rs. 304 crore for rehabilitation of Parallel Delhi Branch (PDB) from RD 0 to 1,45,250 has been approved. In addition, work has started on two projects for increasing the capacity of carrier systems to bring about 4000 cusecs additional water during monsoon season.
  • He said that these are Western Jamuna Canal Main Line Lower from RD 68,220 (Hamida Head) to RD 1,90,950 (lndri Head), and the WJC Main Branch from 0-1,54,000. These two projects are likely to be completed before June, 2019. In order to upgrade infrastructure in the State, the Government plans to re-construct / renovate 2300 dilapidated bridges from 2019-20 to 2023-24.
  • A project for improving capacity of various pump houses and canals of the Jawaharlal Nehru Lift Irrigation System, costing Rs. 143 crore, has been completed during 2018-19. Further, to restore the capacity of Loharu canal system, work has been taken up for rehabilitation and replacement of various pumps and electro mechanical components of Loharu and Badhwana canal systems. A major rehabilitation work of 220 channels, at an estimated cost of Rs. 800 crore, has been taken up for execution during 2018-19 and 2019-20.
  • He said that further, significant rehabilitation works costing Rs. 400 crore have been taken-up in 29 Distributaries, Minors, Feeders and Canals, during 2018-19. Priority has been given for adoption of Micro Irrigation technology for efficient use of water for agriculture purposes. A pilot project has been conceived for utilizing the treated water in Micro Irrigation from Sewerage  Treatment Plants (STP) at Ladwa, Shahabad and Pehowa of Kurukshetra district. Shahabad and Pehowa sites have been made operational and work at Ladwa will be completed soon. This project is based on solar/grid power without putting additional burden on power resources.
  • He said that the Government has also notified the “Haryana Ponds Development Authority” to further intensify these efforts. The State Government is committed to construct SYL Canal in order to get the State’s share of water of river Ravi-Beas with sincere and concerted efforts.  A sum of Rs. 100 crore  has been kept in  budget estimates 2019-20 for this purpose.
  • Chandigarh, March 2 – Haryana Government has allocated a budget of  Rs. 1512.42 crore  to  Revenue and Disaster Management for the next financial year  2019-20  as compared to Rs. 1053.95 crore in  budget estimate 2018-19, indicating an increase of 43.5 percent.
  •  While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that extensive dewatering operations have been carried out during kharif 2018 Girdawari. The State has also decided to provide gratuitous relief to the farmers whose land remained unsown due to water logging during kharif 2018. The Government has also decided to increase remuneration of Lamberdars from Rs. 1500 per month to Rs. 3000 per month and also to provide them with a mobile phone. He said that the  Government have started using GIS in land records. As a pilot project, a drone based cadastral survey was done for Manesar Tehsil with 10 cm accuracy and land records of the tehsil were integrated with the GIS maps.  The state government has put in public domain, all the State cadastral maps on a 1:10,000 scale. To integrate all the State land records with GIS, the Government has now tied up with Survey of India.
  • He said that Modern Record Rooms have been established at Kaithal, Jind and Sonepat. This initiative  is  being extended to cover all districts and State  headquarter. Various types of certificates issued by Revenue Department viz. caste, domicile, income etc. are now integrated with DigiLocker. The certificates are now pushed directly into DigiLocker of the citizen concerned. The existing e-Disha Kendras have been renovated and converted as Antyodaya SARAL Kendras for facilitating delivery of e-services under a single roof.
