  • Chandigarh, Dec 6 – Haryana Police has arrested the mastermind behind the loot of Rs 20 lakh from a person in district Sirsa on November 26. Police has also recovered Rs 5.04 lakh looted amount from him.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that the accused was identified as Sunil, a resident of Rangri Khera. Based on a tip-off, accused was arrested by a team of Crime Investigation Agency, Sirsa from Dabwali area.
  • Two accused have already been arrested in this connection and Rs 4.20 lakh have been recovered from them.
  • The loot was committed by motorcycle borne youth on November 26, when Avinash, Accountant of a firm owned by Anupam Singla had went towards Sirsa town from State Bank of India’s street alongwith Rs20 lakh.
  • Police would seek remand of mastermind Sunil by producing him in the Court so that remaining looted amount could also be recovered.
  • Chandigarh, December 6- Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) is giving one final chance to those 200 candidates who were unable to get their fingerprints matched at examination centre for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test December (HTET)-2017, to appear for the completion of process at Board headquarters, Bhiwani on December 15 and 16, 2018 .
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Board said that the results of all such candidates who appeared in HTET (December)-2017 but their fingerprints verification process was not complete. The Board had called the candidates through SMS, registered letter and phone to appear for the purpose at centres set up in all the districts on February 23, 2018, he added.
  • The board had also given the opportunity of aadhar based biometric identification of such candidates at board headquarters on February 24 and 25, 2018 from March 10 to 15, April 15 and 16, from May 25 to 28 and from October 17-21, 2018. The list of such 200 candidates is available on the official website of the Board http://www.bseh.org.in/.
  • Chandigarh, December 6- Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day and also urged them to generously donate towards the Flag as the same amount is used for the welfare of brave soldiers of the country.
  • The Chief Minister said that December 7 is celebrated as Armed Forces Flag Day across the country. This day is observed to recall and show respect to the supreme sacrifices made by the soldiers for the sake of the country. “It is an important occasion to express our gratitude to the martyrs and show solidarity with Armed Forces,” he added.
  • He said, “We cannot pay back the kind of sacrifices and services rendered by our soldiers, but giving them respect and providing them with better facilities, we can do our duty.” He said that the money collected by distributing flags on Armed Forces Flag Day is used for the rehabilitation of families of soldiers martyred in wars, serving soldiers and ex-servicemen and welfare of their dependents.
  • The Chief Minister also appealed to the people of the state to generously donate to the Flag.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 6 – Haryana Higher Education Department would organised a three-day workshop on ‘Online Budgeting, Tendering and Financial Control’ at Divisional Training Centre HIPA, Hisar from December 17 to 19, 2018.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that in view of the difficulties being faced by officers and officials in online budgeting, tendering and financial control, the workshop is being organised for all government colleges in the districts Fatehabad, Sirsa, Bhiwani, Jind, Meham and Hansi.
  • In this connection, the Principals of all government colleges of the said districts have been directed to send the nominations of interested officers and officials to HIPA Gurugram under intimation to the office of Director General, Higher Education by email.
  • Chandigarh, December 6 : In Haryana, more than 71.27 lakh metric tonnes (MTs) of Paddy has arrived so far in mandis.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival, government procuring agencies have procured over 58.04 lakh metric tonnes whereas over 13.22 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is purchased by millers and dealers.
  • He said that more than 32.25 lakh MT of paddy have been purchased by the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 17.75 lakh MT by Hafed, over 7.85 lakh MT by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 17,744 MT by the Food Corporation of India.
  • Giving details of arrival in mandis of different districts, the spokesman said that out of the total arrival, the maximum quantity of paddy has arrived in Karnal which is over 15.21 lakh MT followed by Kurukshetra over 11.63 lakh MT. Similarly, over 8.24 lakh MT paddy has arrived in mandis of Kaithal, over 7.91 lakh MT in Fatehabad, over 7.74 lakh MT in Ambala, over 6.33 lakh MT in Yamunanagar, over 4.64 lakh MT in Jind, over 2.94 lakh MT in Sirsa, over 2.13 lakh MT each in Panipat, over 1.44 lakh MT in Panchkula, over 1.44 lakh MT in Hisar, over 48,093  MT in Faridabad, over 43,420  MT in Sonipat, 32,766 MT in Jhajjar, 11,957 MT in Rohtak, 10,180 MT in Palwal and over 9,824 MT in Mewat.
  • Chandigarh, Dec 6 – Inaugurating the International Gita Jayanti Samaroh at India Gate at New Delhi, the Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar said that the knowledge of Bhagavad Gita is a source of inspiration for human being from thousands of years.
  • Mr. Dhankar said that we are fortunate that the origin place of Gita is Kurukshetra in Haryana.
  • The Minister also took a round of the exhibition organised on this occasion. Recently the International Gita Jayanti Samaroh exhibition was organised at Red Fort. In this series, the exhibition is being organised at India Gate till December 10, 2018.
  • It is worth mentioning here that this year also the Kurukshetra Development Board will be organising the International Gita Jayanti Samaroh at Kurukshetra from December 7 to 23. Mauritius is participating as the Partner Country and Gujarat as the Partner State. About 18,000 students and 21,000 persons would recite ‘Astadashi Gita Shalokas’ together on December 18.
  • Chandigarh, December 6 : Haryana Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya urged all the people to provide education to their children in every situation and teach them to live with unity and harmony. It would be the real tribute and honor to  Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution of India.
  • The Governor was speaking at National Seminar on the occasion of 63rd Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas organised at Golden Jubilee Hall of Panjab University, Chandigarh here today. The seminar was organised by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar centre of Panjab University to commemorate the day. On this occasion, the Governor also announced to donate a sum of Rs. 5 lakh for organizing programs related to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar for the entire year.
  • During his address, the Governor said that all sections of the society should take inspiration from the life and philosophy of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Babasaheb gave the formula of education, struggle and union essential for the progress and unity of the nation.  He said that the idea of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas in the Constitution is given by Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi is furthering this idea for the welfare and progress of the nation.
  • Describing Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar as a true nationalist, and said that Dr. Ambedkar was the symbol of action, struggle and faith. Every person needs to learn from the life of Babasaheb and follow his footsteps and struggle for the progress of the country, the Governor added.
  • On this occasion, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Prof. Raj Kumar, while paying homage to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, said that we all have to learn a lot from the life of Dr. Ambedkar.
  • The Coordinator, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Center, Mr Devender Singh also spoke on the occasion.
