  • Chandigarh, Feb 12- Union Minister of State for Ayush, Mr Shripad Yesso Naik said that with the establishment of National Institute of Ayurveda in Panchkula, nearly two crore people of Tri-city along with Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab would get direct benefit and youth would get employment opportunities. There is immense potential in the field of Ayush and Yoga. MoU offers are being received from many countries for research in Ayush.
  • Mr Shripad Yesso Naik was addressing the people in the foundation stone laying function of National Institute of Ayurveda at Shri Mata Mansa Devi Complex in Panchkula today. The Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of National Institute of Ayurveda through digital link from Kurukshetra.  The foundation stone laying ceremony by the Prime Minister was shown through live broadcast in the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Complex.
  • He said that this project would cost about Rs. 270.50 crore. Besides 250-bedded Inpatient Department (IPD) hospital, the institute would provide better opportunities to youth in Ayurveda treatment, education and research. More than 500 students would be provided education facility in graduation, post graduation and PhD courses. The institute would be completed in about 24 months and it would have hostel, staff quarters guest house and others.
  • He expressed gratitude to the Haryana Government, especially the Chief Minister and his team and Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board for providing about 20 acres land for the institute. He assured that there would be no shortage of funds for the construction of this institute and efforts would be made to complete it soon.
  • Those present included Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij, MP, Ambala, Mr Ratan Lal Kataria, MLA, Panchkula and Mr Gian Chand Gupta.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 12- The Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi today inaugurated the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Badhsa in Jhajjar through video conferencing, from Kurukshetra. After the inauguration Union Health Minister, Mr J.P. Nadda, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P. Dhankar along with officials of AIIMS visited the newly constructed National Cancer Institute.
  • Giving details about the NCI, Director, AIIMS, Prof. Randeep Guleria said that besides residence block, hospital block, OPD block, guest house, educational block, administration block, research block, service block have been constructed in this Cancer Institute. The institute has been constructed on about 60 acres at the cost of about Rs 2035 crore. After inauguration of this 710-bedded institute, in the first phase, hospital of 250 beds has been opened and in the second phase, that is by December this year, the bed capacity would be increased to 500 beds and in the third and last phase, that is December next year, the number of beds would be increased by 210 beds, which would take the total number of beds to 710. The requirement of about 3,000 Cancer Specialists for this 710-bedded hospital would be fulfilled by next year.
  • He said that in Residential Block, there are 216 2BHK accommodations, 34 3BHK and 16 4BHK accommodations and residential facility for 640 persons in hostel block. The Dining block has the capacity of 400 persons and there are 90 rooms in the guest house constructed on 7653 square yards. The guest house has cafeteria, gymnasium and seminar room.
  • He informed the Union Health Minister, Mr J.P. Nadda, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P. Dhankar, the NCI would lead in the role of prevention of cancer across the world. NCI has signed an MoU with the USA, Britain and France in the field of cancer treatment. He said that besides treatment of cancer, there is also the need of research on large scale. With NCI, India would be able to better contribute in the field of research for the prevention of cancer.
  • He said that NCI has facilities to treat 5 lakh cancer patients every year. The Institute is equipped with modern Laboratories and machines. That included 25 Operation Theatres (O.T.), two MRI scanners, four pat scanners, three breach therapy, five liner accelerator, first-time Proton treatment facility in Government Hospital of the country, 20 bedded Nuclear Medicine, 14 PI Labs, Oncology Emergency Facility, Asia's First Robotic Lab, 60 ICU Beds, completely paperless ICS and O.T. system.
  • He said that the institute has the Asia's first robotic core lab, where per day, 60,000 tests of over 100 types can be conducted. He said that once the blood sample of any patient is taken then the same can be used for any other report requirement of doctor, the patient need not give blood sample again. The robotic machine has the ability to store up to 15,000 samples for 48 hours.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 12 – Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi today lauded Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal for successful implementation of  various schemes and programmes for the empowerment of women in the state.
  • The Prime Minister was addressing a largely attended   Swachh Shakti-2019 program at Kurukshetra  today.  He said that it is the BJP government in the state, which has taken steps towards the welfare of women in a true sense. For this, he congratulated Mr Manohar Lal and his entire team.
  • Union Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ms Uma Bharti, Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya, and Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Mrs Kavita Jain, State BJP President Mr Subhash Barala and large number of Swatchtagrahi from across the country were present on this occasion.
  • Mr Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 6 major development projects costing crores of Rupees. He inaugurated National Cancer Institute at Jhajjar and the ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Faridabad. He also laid the foundation stone of National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya University of Health Sciences, Karnal, Shri Krishna AYUSH University, Kurukshetra and Battles of Panipat Museum, Panipat.
  • Dedicating the projects to the people of the state, the Prime Minister said that all these projects would not only make the life of the people more comfortable by giving them better medical facilities but would also provide employment opportunities to youth of the state.
  • While describing the land of Kurukshetra as a land of Dharma and Karma, he said that it is the same land where Lord Krishna delivered the celestial message of Karma.  Today 3rd edition of Swachhta Shakti 2019 has been launched from Kurukshetra. He congratulated the winners of Swachhta Shakti Award for making outstanding contribution under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan.
  • While maintaining an instant chord with the masses, Mr Narendra Modi said that when the BJP declared him as the Prime Ministerial candidate in year 2014, he came to Haryana to take the blessings of Ex-servicemen. Now, today he has again come to Kurukshetra to take the blessings of women of the country. He said that during his visit to Haryana he had promised the Ex-servicemen of the country regarding One Rank-One Pension Scheme and implemented the same. Similarly, he also launched the ambitious Beti Bacho-Beti Padao program from Panipat which has now taken the shape of a mass movement in the country. Apart from this, the first beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat Health Protection Scheme was from Haryana.
  • He said that the people of Haryana has always given him due honor and he was trying to pay them back with interest. In the last four years, the Union government with the support of Haryana Government led by Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal has worked for making the life of people more easy and comfortable. In the same series, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various projects costing crores of Rupees today.  
  • While taking a dig at the opposition parties, he said that few people thought that the history of the country commenced from year 1947 and that it was started by one family. The present BJP Government has made the welfare of women as base of all its major schemes and programs and it has become possible only as  the people of the country has given full mandate to the BJP in 2014. On assuming the reign of the administration, middleman and those having corrupt ideology were eliminated from the system, he added. He said that today each honest individual has faith in the Chowkidar (Prime Minister) and those who are corrupt are feeling the pain. Apparently referring to the Mahagathbandhan as Maha Milawat, Mr Modi said that today they fearful of investigative agencies.  He cautioned that he would not bow down to any threat or abusive language and his tirade against corruption would gain momentum in the coming days.
  • While referring to various steps taken for the welfare of people he said that the Union Government has laid a huge network of big hospitals in the country to provide quality healthcare to the people. There are 21 All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the country of which work has been started on 14 AIIMS after 2014. He said that in the recent Union Budget, another AIIMS has been sanctioned for Haryana, which would be set up in village Manethi in district Rewari.  The villager has given land for the setting of this institute and the work on this would be started soon, he added.  
  • Earlier, Prime Minister honored 12 Swachhtagrahi with Swachh Shakti Award 2019 including Sarpanch of village Dharala in district Panchkula. On this occasion, Haryana Governor Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya released a book entitled Swachh Bharat-Sankalp se Sidhi and also presented its first copy to Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi.
  • Union Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Uma Bharti said that at present 5.5 lakh villages, 28 states and 600 districts have been declared ODF. She said that the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi has resolved to make the country ODF free by October, 2019. She  said that the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has provided employment opportunities to the women also as till now 50000 women have become ‘Rani Mistri’. He urged the people to make keep their ponds, village streets clean and contribute in making clean and new India. She said that while ODF was the right of women, cleanliness is our collective responsibility.
  • Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain said that the state government has effectively implemented Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the state. She said that while 31 lakh toilets have been constructed in rural areas, 67000 toilets have been constructed in urban areas. Apart from this, 131 Solid Waste Management Plants have set up in rural areas and 414 in urban areas in the state. She also expressed her gratitude to the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi for launching the Beti Bacho-Beti Padhao program from Panipat for improving the sex ratio and launching the 3rd edition of Swachh Shakti 2019 from Kurukshetra for further enhancing the dignity of the women.
  • Chandigarh, February 12: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that the strength of women in the state police force has increased from 6 per cent earlier to 10 per cent and it would be further increased to 20 per cent.

  • He said that with the blessings of people of the state,  the BJP would form the government in the state for  second consecutive term and after forming the government,  the strength of women in the state police force would be further increased to 20 per cent, he said adding that to provide safe and secure atmosphere to the women in the State, several steps have been taken including setting up of all women police stations. Earlier, there were only two women police stations which have now increased to 30.
  • He said that Haryana is first state in the country  which has been declared Kerosene free. Under the Ujjwala Scheme, 99.3 percent households in the state have been provided LPG connection and remaining 0.7 percent households would be covered in the next one month. He said that  a reward of Rs. 100 each  has been announced for those giving information about  any  eligible household who is still  deprived of  LPG gas connection.
  • Earlier, welcoming the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi in Haryana, Mr Manohar Lal assured that the state government would leave no stone unturned in achieving the targets given by Central Government. He said that the state government has taken several steps for successful implementation of Swachhta Abhiyan. Both rural and Urban areas have been declared ODF and now we are heading towards ODF plus. He said that in the urban areas two cities namely Rohtak and Karnal have been included in first 100 cities of the country in achieving  Swachta. This has become possible only with the  active contribution of women of the state, he added.
  • While referring to various steps taken for the welfare of the women in the state, he said that with a view to promote higher education in the state, 44 new colleges have been opened during the last four-and-a-half years tenure of the present state government which included 29 girls colleges. We have a target to set up one women college at a distance of every 20 kilometer to ensure that our daughters need not travel a distance of more than 10 kilometers to reach their colleges. Apart from this, Mukhyamantri Chhatra Parivahan Yojna has been started to provide free travel facility to the girl students.
  • Chandigarh, Feb 12- Haryana Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone of three major projects of Health and Ayush Department at the cost of about Rs 1,550 crore and inaugurated National Cancer Institute (NCI) at the cost of about Rs. 2,035 crore at Badhsa village in Jhajjar from Kurukshetra.
  • Mr Vij said that the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Shri Krishna Ayush University, Kurukshetra, which is first of its kind in the world. The University would be constructed on about 94.5 acres at an estimated cost of about Rs 475 crore. It would provide the facility of education and treatment through Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathic medical systems. Similarly, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayaya University of Health Sciences, Karnal and National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula.
  • Mr Vij said that the Prime Minister inaugurated the National Cancer Institute constructed in Badhsa village at the cost of about Rs 2,035 crore. The Institute has 710 beds and would provide treatment of all stages of cancer. Besides rooms of doctors’, about 800 rooms have been constructed for the attendants of patients in the institute. “The foundation stone of this Institute was laid by BJP government and it is also inaugurated by the same government,” he added.  
  • Besides this, the Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Center of Excellence which is being set up as University in Kutail of Karnal District. This university would be developed on over 144 acres at an estimated cost of about Rs 750 crore. This super specialty hospital would be equipped with a trauma centre and other facilities like IPD and OPD. It would also provide graduate and post-doctoral courses for students.
  • In order to provide unprecedented medical facilities in the field of Ayurveda, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of National Institute of Ayurveda to be set up in Panchkula. The Institute would be constructed on 19.87 acres with the support of the Centre Government. About Rs 270.50 crore would be spent on its construction. Its Inpatient Department IPD would have 250 beds and would provide education facility to about 500 students in graduation, post graduation and PhD courses.
  • Apart from these projects, the Prime Minister today also inaugurated the newly constructed ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Faridabad. In this hospital, labourers of Haryana and nearby states could get medical treatment. The college and hospital has been constructed on about 30 acres and has the facility of 510 beds. It also offers 100 MBBS seats.  At the same time, the Prime Minister has also laid the foundation stone of a museum on Battle of Panipat, which would have heroic stories of heroes of the battles of Panipat.
