Chandigarh, March 14 – During the general elections to Lok Sabha 2019, the police personnel would be randomly deployed at polling stations in a thoroughly systematic and confidential manner. For this, a software is being developed by the NIC.
This was informed by Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Mr. Rajeev Ranjan in a meeting held with nodal officers of Haryana Police, BSF and CRPF, here today. Officers of NIC were also present in the meeting.
Mr. Ranjan said that such software is being prepared by NIC which would have complete data of police personnel including their names and addresses through which they would be deputed randomly at polling stations.
He said that the data registered in the software would be completely safe and confidential. This would bring more transparency in system of deputing police personnel, he addedChandigarh, March 14 – A total of 174 cases of unfair means were registered across the state during the Physical and Health Education exam of secondary (Academic, Re-Appearance and Open School) and Fine Arts (all options) exam of senior secondary (Academic, Re-Appearance and Open School) of Board of School Education, Haryana which was held on March 13, 2019.
While giving information about this, a spokesman of the Board said that one centre Superintendent and one Observer, and eight supervisors were relieved from exam duty for negligence and examination at nine centers were canceled.
He said that the rural / urban examination centers of district Rohtak and Sonepat were inspected by the flying squad of the Chairman of the Board, where a case of using unfair means was caught. Similarly, the flying squad of the Board Secretary inspected the rural / urban examination centers at Sivani, Jhupa, Bahal and Tosham.
He said that the special flying squad of Board Chairman caught 29 cases of using unfair means in the examination centers of district Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Karnal, Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonepat and Palwal. Similarly, the special flying squad of Board Secretary caught 17 cases of using unfair means in examination centres of districts of Faridabad, Hisar, Kaithal and Sonipat. He said that the Rapid Action Force has caught 17 cases and the other flying squad has caught 110 cases of using unfair means.
The spokesman said that a written communication has been sent to the Education Department to initiate disciplinary action against the supervisors who have been relieved from duty for negligence during the ongoing annual examination of March-2019 across the state.
