- Chandigarh, January 20- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has said that the people of Haryana origin migrated to other state has made the state proud by establishing themselves in the industrial sector in other states on the strength of their hard work, dedication and honesty. This reinforces the credibility and also inspires the other people.
- The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering at the Haryana Matri Sangh organised at Ahmadabad in Gujarat late yesterday evening.
- Mr Manohar Lal said that the Haryanvi word brings to mind the picture of such brave hearts who changed the destiny with their confidence, hard word, and ability, not only in Haryana, but also in other parts of India and abroad. He said that Lord Sri Krishna delivered the divine message of Karma Yoga in Dharmakshra Kurukshetra in Haryana whereas Lord Krishna made Dwarka in Gujarat his own Karmasthali.
- He said after taking reigns of the state in the year 2014, the present Government built a conducive environment for the industrial sector to flourish and strengthen the economy of the state and give a major fillip to the private sector so that maximum job opportunities are generated for the youth. In the continuous efforts, we implemented the Enterprise Promotion Policy 2015, which yielded positive results, he said adding that today, Haryana stands third in the Ease of Doing Business in the country whereas it was at 14th place, when the present government came to power.
- Highlighting other achievements of the state, he said that despite being a small state, Haryana is at fourth place in e-way bill and fifth in GST collections and also in exports. Similarly, during this period, he said that Haryana reached at 10th position from 28th in strengthening the basic amenities in urban sector. Samadhaan camps are being organised in each district to establish a direct dialogue with investors and protect their interests.
- The Chief Minister was given a warm welcome on his arrival in the Haryana Matri Sangh by Haryanavi diasporas and honoured with a memento and shawl.
- Chandigarh, January 19: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s statue of unity would not only inspire the coming generations but also apprise them about glorious history of the country.
- Mr Manohar Lal who was interacting with the media persons after going around the statue of unity, Kivadiya in Narmada district of Gujarat expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi for realizing his vision of construction of world’s tallest and magnificent statue of Sardar Patel.
- On first day of his two-day visit to Gujarat, Mr Manohar Lal reached Kevadiya today. He laid the foundation stone of Haryana Bhawan at 'Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat Complex' near Statue of Unity in Kevadiya and also went around the Statue of Unity. Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Rao Narbir Singh and Gujarat Tribal Development, Tourism and Forest Minister Mr Ganvat Singh Vasava also accompanied him.
- Mr Manohar Lal went around the wall of unity; museum and exhibition put up at the statue of unity and also went to see viewing gallery through lift. He also joined the tourists that had come to see the statue of unity and watched a documentary film based on the life of Sardar Patel with them in the theater. He described his visit to statue of unity as memorable and delightful.
- He said that the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the independence and sovereignty of the country could not be forgotten. He said that born in a farmer’s family, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel would always be remembered for his diplomatic capabilities. He said that the credit to keep the country united goes to Sardar Patel and added that the way personality of Sardar Patel has been made livelier in the statue of unity through different mediums is a testimony to the fact that the coming generation would definitely adopt his personality into their lives.
- The Chief Minister also inquired the Managing Director of Statue of Unity Mr Sanjay Joshi about the entire process concerning the construction of statue. He also expressed his keen interest in the memoirs associated with Sardar Patel.
- Earlier, on reaching the statue of unity, Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal was presented with a memento by Gujarat Tribal Development, Tourism and Forest Minister Mr Ganvat Singh Vasava. The Chief Minister also wrote his message in visitor’s book at the statue of unity.
- Meanwhile, a lot of craze and enthusiasm was seen among the people at statue of unity to have a photograph with Mr Manohar Lal. As Mrs Saroj informed that she has arrived here with her family from district Sonipat, the Chief Minister got a photo clicked with them. Not only Haryana but people from Gujarat and other parts of the country greeted the Chief Minister and also took selfie with him. Earlier, he also met with people from different parts of the country at statue of unity.
- Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr V.Umashankar, District Collector of Narmada Mr R.S Ninama, Technical Director of Narmada Corporation Mr Shrinadpra, Chief Engineer Mr P.C Vyas and other senior officers of Gujarat Government were also present on this occasion.
- Chandigarh, Jan 19 – The compliance of Model Code of Conduct is being ensured during the bye-elections to Jind Assembly Constituency. In this direction, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Mr. Ishwar Singh Hood has been appointed Nodal Officer.
- Sub Divisional Magistrate (S.D.M) and Returning Officer of bye-elections to Jind Assembly Constituency, Mr. Virender Sehrawat said that the distribution and placement of unauthorised publicity material such as hoardings, banners and flags in rural area of Jind Assembly Constituency and Jind City have been taken seriously. He directed the Supervisor Officers, Flying Squads, VV Team, VST Team, checking parties at different check posts, Sector Magistrates and Sector Supervisors to ensure compliance of Model Code of Conduct and submit report of action taken by them in the morning as well as in the evening.
- Mr. Sehrawat said that publicity material such as hoardings and flex should be placed at only those places prescribed by the Administration for this purpose. He also directed the officers of Municipal Council to check out the unauthorised hoardings and flex in city area and ensure sending notices to concerned candidates.
- Chandigarh, Jan 19 – In view of the bye-elections to Jind Assembly Constituency, the Police Department has launched a campaign to put a check on unauthorised vehicles. Such vehicles, which have not taken permission for use in election work, are being impounded. As many as 20 such vehicles have so far been impounded.
- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Model Code of Conduct is enforced in the district. Therefore, only those vehicles, which have got approval from Returning Officer, could be used for publicity. The expenditure of vehicles is registered in the account of the candidate, he added.
- He said that a motorcycle bearing registration number HR40A-3119 has been impounded from Civil Line, Jind, Sumo HR62-5715, Innova HR07R-4865, TATA Magic HR56A-1175, TATA Magic HR56-0957, Bolero HR32G-2627 have been impounded from Sadar, Jind, Fortuner HR26AZ-7765, three-wheeler HR56B-5859, Eon HR43B-7471, Swift Dzire HR55AA-5565 have been impounded from Jind city and Sumo HR51AX-3265 has been impounded from City Jind area. Apart from this, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, about 1.3 kg smack has also been recovered during this campaign, he added.
- Chandigarh, Jan 19: The first randomization process of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines to be used in Jind Assembly constituency bye-elections was completed in Mini Secretariat of Jind today. The randomization process was completed in the presence of General Observer, Mr Saurabh Bhagat. Candidates of different political parties and independents candidates contesting in the Jind bye-elections were also present during the randomization process.
- Deputy Commissioner and District Electoral Officer, Mr Amit Khatri, Special Superintendent of Police, Mr Ashwin Shenvi, Returning Officer, Jind Assembly Constituency, Mr. Virender Singh Sehrawat were also present on this occasion. The randomization process was completed by the Technical Director, Information and Science Officer, Mr MZR Badar, through the computer.
- Similarly, the second randomization process of polling parties was completed in the presence of General Observer, Mr Saurabh Bhagat. The first randomization process of Micro Observer has been completed today.
- General Observer, Mr Saurabh Bhagat said that EVM and VVPAT machines should be displayed at Saral Kendras to provide information about usage of these machines to the general public.
- District Electoral Officer, Mr Amit Khatri directed the officers concerned with the bye-elections to set up a counter at Saral Kendras to give training of using EVM and VVPAT machines to the people as maximum number of people visit the Saral Kendras for various services. A Master trainer would also be available to impart training.
- Superintendent of Police, Mr Ashwin Shenvi said that a woman police personnel would remain on duty at every polling booth. Apart from this, deputing adequate number of police forces would be ensured at every polling booth.
- Chandigarh January 19: Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today laid the foundation stone of Haryana Bhawan at 'Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat Complex' near Statue of Unity in Kevadiya, Gujarat after performing Bhumi Pujan. He said that probably Haryana is the first state of the country that has laid the foundation stone for the construction of its state bhawan in this complex.
- Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Rao Narbir Singh and Gujarat Tribal Development, Tourism and Forest Minister Mr Ganvat Singh Vasava were also present on this occasion.
- Mr Manohar Lal said that Gujarat Government has given Haryana a plot measuring 1500 square meter in 'Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat Complex' for the construction of Haryana Bhawan. The Haryana Government would construct this four-storied building at a cost of about Rs 12 crore. Besides being environment friendly, this Bhawan would be equipped with all latest facilities. It would have 45 rooms including one VVIP suite, four VIP suite, nine dormitories and two conference halls.
- He said that the Bhawan would provide stay facility to the people of Haryana visiting Statue of Unity. A provision of rain harvesting would also be made in this building through which rainy water could also be utilized for horticulture and other purposes. The Bhawan would also have the facility of solar water heating and solar voltaic panel.
- The Chief Minister sought information from the concerned officers about the design and technical aspects of the Haryana Bhwana and also gave them necessary directions.
- Earlier, on reaching Kevadiya, Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal was accorded warm welcome by Guajrat Tribal Development, Tourism and Forest Minister Mr Ganvat Singh Vasava.
- Among those present on this occasion included Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr V.Umashankar, District Collector of Narmada Mr R.S Ninama, Engineer-in-Chief, Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Mr Rakesh Manocha, Superintendent Engineer Mr Nihal Singh, Executive Engineer Mr Harpal Singh and other senior officers of Gujarat Government.

- The promoted officers are Mohd. Imran Raza, Uttam Singh, Preeti, Rahul Hooda and Prashant Panwar.

- Chandigarh, Jan 19 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will attend the ‘Pravasi Bhartiya Divas’ Programme at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on January 20, 2019. On this occasion, he would also meet Union External Affairs Minister, Mrs. Sushma Swaraj and other industrialists of Indian origin.
- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister will be visiting Varanasi for two-day visit on January 20. He would meet Mrs. Sushma Swaraj and discuss various issues with her. Thereafter, he would also meet NRIs namely Lord Raj Loomba and Lady Veena Loomba from England, J. Rao Maddhukuri from Poland, Rajpal Tyagi from Kuwait, Mr. Mukund Bhikhubhai Purohit from Canada and Rajmal Parakh from Oman.
- He said that the Chief Minister would inaugurate Yuva Pravasi Bhartiya Divas at Deendayal Hastkala Sankul Parisar on January 21 at 9:30 a.m. On this occasion, Member of Parliament from Norway, Mr. Himanshu Gulati and Member of Parliament from New Zealand, Mr. Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi would be distinguished guest. He said that Mr. Manohar Lal would also visit the exhibition at Haryana State Pavilion set up at Bhartiya Pravasi Divas Parisar. The Chief Minister would meet Chairman, LuLu Group, Dubai, Mr. Yusuf Ali, Chairman, Neapolitant Pizza, Canada, Mr. Mukund Bhikhubhai Purohit and Ms. Nandini Tandon from America.
