- Chandigarh, September 2- The Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar lal today laid foundation stone of Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) under the Smart-City initiative at Gurugram.
- The work has been awarded by GMDA to M/s IL&FS Technologies Ltd. for an amount of Rs.62.77 crore (which includes O&M, AMC and Manpower supply for 5 years). The Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) will be the nodal point of availability of all online data and information related to Smart-City applications. It will be established with all hardware, software and network-infrastructure and will aggregate various data fields from sensors and systems and further process information from these data feeds to provide an interface/dashboard for generating alerts and notifications in real-time. The ICCC will support and strengthen coordination in response to incidents including emergency/ crisis situations, by allowing city-administration to respond quickly and effectively to emergency or disaster situation in the city through defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and step-by-step instructions.
- The ICCC would have a single dashboard for City Infrastructure Management & Smart City Services which can be accessed via web application as well as a mobile app. The various information that may be accessed from the system would include (but not limited to): visual alerts generated by any endpoint that is part of the city infrastructure, or any other sensor that manages various City-Management use-cases for example Surveillance Cameras, information on water management resources, information on waste management resources, information on various citizen services including land records, property tax, billing etc. It will also have information on city environment data. All the assets of Gurugram city were being mapped on “One Map GIS” and the same would be part of Smart City initiative, to facilitate the integrated dashboards.

A Citizen App would also be provided for public participation in city management with provision for registering complaints suggestions and feedback after redressal, he added.
- In order to provide connectivity of various locations to ICCC, a City-Wide Fiber Network has been planned to function as the backbone for all the Smart-City initiatives. This Fiber-backbone will also provide connectivity to all CCTV cameras planned to be installed as part of the ‘Public safety and Adaptive Traffic Management system’, and all other Smart-applications that will be installed as part of Smart-City initiatives. The fiber backbone will stretch over 600 km covering 115 sectors of Gurugram & Manesar Area. This fiber backbone will connect all the 345 major intersections/crime sensitive areas, entry/exit points, underpasses, government offices, police stations, places-of-importance, etc.that have been identified for Public-safety equipment deployment through a detailed field-survey.
- The Integrated command and Control Centre (ICCC) under the Smart-City initiative for Gurugram project would be completed in around 9 to 12 months’ time in a phased manner, and Gurugram is expected to become the Smartest city of the country.
