  • Chandigarh, May 24- In Haryana, the procurement of mustard seed under Price Support Scheme of Government of India will continue till May 31, 2018. The State Government has decided to procure mustard seed from all left out farmers who could not sell their mustard crop between March 15  to April 1 due to rain, immaturity of the crop or left out from the roaster.
  • This was disclosed by the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal while talking to the media persons at his residence here today.
  • He said that all the concerned Deputy Commissioners have been directed to prepare the village wise roaster of left out villages and for the wider publicity in this regard. He further informed that Hafed has already procured 2.28 LMT mustard seed from the 1,14,917 farmers covering 4,100 villages of the State. The left out farmers will get benefit from this extension in the procurement.
  • He said that the procurement of mustard seed would continue from the existing 46 purchase centres in the 14 Districts of the State. The procurement would immediately start from Rewari, Charkhi Dadri, Bhiwani and Jhajjar and all other districts would also be covered by end of the week.
