  • Chandigarh, April 25 - Haryana Government has made international shooter, Ms Gauri Sheoran as brand ambassador for its Measles and Rubella Mega Vaccination Campaign in the state.
  • This was announced by the Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal at the launch of Measles and Rubella Mega Vaccination Campaign here today. Under this campaign, vaccination of about 80 lakh children in the age group of nine months to 15 years would be carried out. He also flagged off 11 Medical Mobile Units for success of this campaign.
  • Congratulating the Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij and officers of Central Government and State Health Department for this significant initiative, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi has launched a number of campaigns to make the future of youth bright. Under this, a target has been fixed to eliminate measles and control rubella in the country by year 2020. He also directed the officers of Health Department and National Health Mission to ensure 100 per cent vaccination under this campaign.
  • He said that immunization services has been improved considerably in the state as a result of which  Haryana has brought down its infant mortality rate (under 5) by 6 points from 43 per 1000 in year 2016 to 37 per 1000 live births.
  • Speaking on this occasion, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, GAVI Alliance, Mrs Anuradha Gupta said that this is world’s largest vaccination campaign after Indonesia and Haryana has done much better in Health sector than the national average. She said that this campaign would prove beneficial for children and women.
  • Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Mr R.R.Jowel also spoke on this occasion. He also said the targets given to the state under this campaign would be achieved in one month’s period.
  • Mission Director, National Health Mission, Mrs. Amneet P. Kumar gave a presentation about the Measles and Rubella Mega Vaccination Campaign on this occasion.
  • Chandigarh, April 25 – With a view to ensure further empowerment of Panchayati Raj Institutes and their active participation in development programmes, Haryana Government has decided to constitute State Council under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal.
  • This was disclosed by Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi while interacting with media persons here today. The Chairpersons of Zila Parishads will be members of the State Council.
  • He said that State Council would be constituted on the lines of National Council headed by the Prime Minister.
  • While giving other important decisions taken at the ministerial meeting chaired by Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal late last evening, the Minister said that a committee under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary, Finance Mr TVSN Prasad had been constituted which would finalize the component of house rent allowance admissible to employees as per 7th Central Pay Commission.  The other members include Mrs Amneet P. Kumar and Mr Vijayendra Kumar.
  • Similarly, under the new Shivdham Navinikaran Yojana, he said that a committee would also be constituted under the chairmanship of respective Deputy Commissioners for giving pucca path, boundary wall, shed and drinking water arrangements in all cremation grounds and cemeteries. This committee would take assistance of social organizations already engaged in similar activities and would provide funds for the same, if required.
  • Mr Bedi said that water would be made available in all ponds under Haryana Pond Development Authority by March 31, 2019. In the first phase, 1200 ponds would be filled with canal water twice in a year. In the second phase, water conservation projects would be started for silted ponds and for those where problem of overflow prevails. Provision of funds would be made for such ponds.

  • Chandigarh, April 25–The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has issued instructions that such JBT teachers as are either visually impaired or are suffering from chronic disease, should be posted at stations near the house.  
  • Due to non-availing of opportunity in the transfer policy of the Education Department, such teachers have been deprived of allotment of stations near to their house. Now, all such teachers will be transferred immediately.
  • The Chief Minister was holding a Janta Darbar to address issues and grievances of the people here today. About 50 people met him with their problems ranging from encroachment on panchayat land, inter-district transfers, special promotion benefit to employees, and improvement of graveyards.
  • A delegation, led by the President, State Primary Teachers Association, Mr Tarun Suhag, pointed out that in the transfer policy, JBT teachers who were visually impaired and were suffering from serious diseases had been allotted stations away from home, due to which they were facing huge problems.
  • On this, the Chief Minister directed the Additional Chief Secretary, School Education, Mrs Dheera Khandelwal, to immediately allot stations to such JBTs near to their homes.
  • A delegation of Mewat Primary Teachers Union also requested the Chief Minister that JBTs should be promoted to the rank of TGTs at the earliest. Their request was accepted by the Chief Minister.
  • In yet another case, an employee of State University met the Chief Minister demanding framing of a policy for special promotion benefits to non-teaching academic gold medalists of the university.  On this, the Chief Minister gave the assurance that he would look into the matter.
  • On another complaint, the Chief Minister directed immediate transfer of Mr Anoop, Secretary, Market Committee, Uklana.
  • On a request of the IRB delegation concerning posting of IRB personnel in the district, he instructed the Director General of Police, Mr BS Sandhu, to look into the policy of other states so that these soldiers could be posted in the districts according to the rules.
  • A delegation of Mahadevpura in Panchkula pleaded for renovation of the graveyard. On their request, the CM said the graveyard would be renovated within two months.  
  • A delegation of leaseholders (pattedars) from Pehowa thanked the Chief Minister for their resettlement. The BJP Government re-settled about 800 such people at Kupian Plot Krah Sahib, Pehowa in Kurukshetra.
