- Chandigarh, Aug 26 – Haryana Government has directed all the Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments to ensure disposal of files without avoidable delays on account of queries on simple issues.
- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that it had been observed that disposal of certain files was unduly delayed on account of queries relating to simple issues. In some cases the issues are intra-departmental, whereas in other cases they are inter-departmental.
- He said that the matter has been considered by the government and accordingly, it has been decided that in order to avoid such delays, matters would be resolved either through discussion on telephone or through a meeting. Only in those cases where large amount of information is required or where major policy matters are involved, queries in writing should be raised. The cases which are purely of administrative nature would also be disposed of at the level of Administrative Secretary to avoid unnecessary delay on account of shuffling the file.
- He said that in a written communication issued by Chief Secretary, all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners and the Registrar, Punjab and Haryana High Court have been directed to ensure full compliance of these instructions in letter and spirit. They have also been directed to bring these instructions to the notice of all concerned for strict compliance, he added.
