  • Chandigarh, Sept 27 - The Members of the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF) of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam will make extensive visits in the month of October, 2018 for hearing grievances of the consumers and to entertain new complaints.        
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Nigam said that the proceedings of the CGRF would be held in Yamunanagar on October 1, at BBMB Rest House in Panipat on October 3, in Rohtak on October 5, in Karnal on October 8, in Panchkula on October 9, in Ambala on October 11, in Kurukshetra on October 12, in Sonipat on October 15, in Panipat on October 23, in Kaithal on October 25 and in Jhajjar on October 30, respectively.
  • The CGRF would take all grievances and complaints of consumers like billing problem, voltage complaints, problems in metering, disconnection and reconnection of power supply, interruptions, failure of power supply, efficiency, safety, reliability and non-compliance of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission orders. However, the cases of theft and unauthorized use of electricity, offences and penalties as specified under Section 126 and Sections 135 to 139 of Electricity Act, accidents and inquiries as under Section 161 of the Act would not be considered by the Forum.
  • All the consumers are requested to avail the opportunity for the redressal of their grievances, he added.
