- Chandigarh, Aug 28 – Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that according to the report, the newborn died due to delay in reaching hospital as the ambulance got stuck in jam caused by the cycle rally and which was also telecasted by various news channels.
- Mr. Vij said that statements of parents of the newborn, ambulance driver and doctors were recorded. They have admitted that the ambulance was stuck in jam that day due to cycle rally and reached Civil Hospital late by about half-an-hour. For this, Haryana Pradesh Congress Chief, Dr. Ashok Tanwar should admit his fault. He said that the ambulance and hospital had all facilities therefore Mr. Tanwar cannot escape the allegation being levelled against him. Appropriate action would be taken based on the report from SIT constituted for this purpose.
- The Health Minister said that the Congress had always been lying without understanding the truth behind facts. He said that more number of doctors have joined during the tenure of present State Government as compared to the Congress Government. More than 90 per cent doctors have joined, he added.
- Replying to a question, he said that the governments are formed by parties and not by divisions. The Congress in Haryana is divided into Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Mrs. Kiran Choudhry, Mr. Ashok Tanwar and Kumari Selja. Therefore, they should not dream about forming government.
