- Chandigarh, Aug 30 – Haryana Government has decided to implement the ex-gratia scheme of the State Government for employees of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Panchkula. In case an employee dies before the age of 45 years, job would be provided to his dependent and if the employee dies after the age of 45 years then salary of the employee would be given to the dependents for the remaining period of service of the employee.
- A decision to this effect was taken in the 17th meeting of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Panchkula held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, at Panchkula near here today.
- It was also decided in the meeting to provide benefit of ex-gratia scheme to 13 employees of the Board who had expired while on duty during 2012-2018. The Chief Minister directed to provide arrears to the dependents from the day of death till today and offer jobs to dependents if the employee below 45 years and if the employee was above 45 years then provide salary to the dependents.
- It was also decided to grant cycle allowance of Rs 200 to Group D employees of the Board with effect from May 1, 2018. This decision would benefit 44 employees of the Board. Similarly, it was decided to grant conveyance allowance to blind and orthopedically disabled employees of the Board on the pattern of state Government Employees. Revised rates of this conveyance allowance would be minimum Rs 2,500 and maximum Rs 7,200.
- It was also decided to double the amount of financial powers to the various officers of the Board. The Chief Administrator would now have financial power up to Rs 10 lakh. Similarly, the Chief Executive Officer would have financial power up to Rs two lakh and Secretary would have financial power up to Rs 20,000. Earlier, these financial powers were Rs five lakh, Rs one lakh and Rs 10,000 for Chief Administrator, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary, respectively. The Chairman has full financial powers.
- It was decided in the meeting to construct Suvidha Kendra, Mukhya Singh Dwar, carry out renovation of main stairs of the temple, re-carpeting of internal roads of shrine complex, beautification of Ban Ganga and surroundings, construction of new corridor, additional exit passage for devotees, additional tube well at shrine complex, establishing shakti stambhas at Kalka highway and construction of shed (Gopuram) at Shri Kali Mata Temple Complex, Kalka.
- It was informed in the meeting that a total income from cash donations received at Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine and Shri Kali Mata Mandir, Kalka was more than Rs 5.53 crore up to August 15, during financial year 2018-19.
- Those present in the meeting included Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain, MLA, Panchkula, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta, MLA, Kalka, Mrs. Latika Sharma, Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Mandip Singh Brar, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan, Director General, Mr. Nitin Kumar Yadav and other senior officers.
