- Chandigarh, September 30- The Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today announced that a course will be started in Haryana Vishwakarma skill University (HVSU) for refining the art of those who make pots and other decorative as well as useful things out of mud. He said that a wing in the HVSU will be named after King Daksh Prajapati.
- Mr Manohar Lal was addressing Daksh Prajapati Mahasammelan organised in Gurugram today.
- The Chief Minister said that over 300 schemes were being run by the Union and the State Government for the benefit of poor. In order to provide the eligible beneficiaries with its benefits, Antodaya Bhawans are being set up at District Headquarters. Antodaya Bhawans have been set up in seven district of the state including Gurugram and would be set up in the remaining districts in the next two months.
- He said that in earlier times, Prajapati community used to make mud objects, sculptures, utensils, but today due to mechanization the art also needs to adapt according to the need of the society. The chief minister also said that 11 hostels would be constructed for the children of families belonging to scheduled caste and backward classes.
- The Chief Minister lit the traditional lamp in front of Lord Daksh Prajapati. He honoured Rajbala, the widow of martyr Subedar Dal Chand, captain of Indian women hockey team Kumari Rani Rampal, captain of Indian men hockey team Sardar Singh, senior Intelligence Officer of DCCI Dharampal and international skating player Pankaj Khandodiya as they all belonged to Prajapati Samaj.
- Chandigarh, Sept 30 – Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that sports are the part of Haryanvi culture. The policies of the present State Government and hard work of the sportspersons have contributed a lot towards uplifting the level of sports in the state.
- The Finance Minister was speaking after inaugurating Jai Balaji Sports Academy at Gohana in district Sonipat, today. He said that the present State Government has worked towards promoting the sportspersons of the state.
- The Minister said that some people are indulging in to ruin the brotherhood among people, but people would not get influenced by their propaganda and work towards development of the state and the country. He said that the energy of youth should be channelized in a positive direction.
- Capt. Abhimanyu said that the present State Government has worked towards the welfare of farmers. He said that directions have been issued to carry out special girdawari to assess the damage caused to crops due to recent heavy rains in the state.
- Chandigarh, Sept 30 – A warm send-off was accorded to three DGP rank Haryana cadre IPS officers, who retired today on attaining their age of superannuation after putting in over 30 years of service in various capacities.
- These officers are Mr A.K. Dhul, Dr R.P. Singh and Mr Sudhir Chowdhary.
- Mr A.K. Dhul IPS retired today from service in the rank of DGP on attaining the age of superannuation. He was posted as MD HPHC from where he performed his duties with utmost interest and dedication. Mr Dhul, who hails from district Rohtak was inducted into IPS in 1985. During his 33 years of career, he remained posted on various important key posts. He was decorated with Police Medal in 2007 and with President’s Police Medal in year 2013.
- Similarly, Dr R.P Singh, a 1985 batch IPS officer, retired from service as DGP Administration with additional charge of DGP Railways. Mr Singh, who hails from Punjab, served with Haryana Police for about 33 years. He was awarded with Police Medal for meritorious service in year 2002.
- Mr Sudhir Chowdhary, superannuated in the rank of DGP Human Rights and Litigation. He joined Indian Police Service in 1988 and served for about 30 years in different capacities. He was decorated with Police Medal in 2007 and with President’s Police Medal in year 2016.
- Chandigarh, September 30 – Haryana Government has decided to grant Class II jobs to those dependents or family members of deceased martyrs or battle casualty in such cases where martyrs or battle casualty was Class I or Class II officer.
- While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that earlier compassionate assistance by way of appointment on compassionate grounds in the feeder cadre in Class-III and IV posts to one eligible livingspouse or dependent children of Martyr of Armed Forces Personnel and Para Military Forces Personnel, was granted to the bereaved family in addition to other financial benefits who was domicile of Haryana and killed in action in border skirmishes, terrorists attacks or riots.
- He said that earlier the compassionate appointment was made only in respect of feeder cadre in Class III and IV posts. Government has now decided that the eligible family members would be considered for directrecruitment in Class II, III or IV posts, as the case may be, keeping in view their educational qualifications, eligibilitycriteria and provisions as laid down in the recruitment rules for the concerned post. However, the applicant would be eligible for getting a Class II job only in such cases where martyr or battle casualty was Class I or Class II officer.
- He said that the other conditions, for grant of compassionate assistance by way of appointment on compassionate grounds, in Class II, III and IV posts, included that consideration would be made in respect of one eligible family member of bonafide domicile martyr or battle casualty of Haryana and eligible family member as defined in the policy for grant of compassionate assistance by way of appointment on compassionate grounds in Class II, III & IV posts would be dependent son, daughter (married or unmarried) or spouse or brother of battle casualty or legally adopted son or daughter provided the adoption was done when deceased soldier or battle casualty or martyr was alive. The consideration of eligible dependent or family member of battle casualty would be as per preference indicated by immediate Next of Kin.
- He said that the consideration would be admissible even if one or more members of the family of martyr/battle casualty is/are in service. Any relaxation with regard to age (18-42 years with relaxation of 5 years for SC/BC) and time limit (previous 3 years from date of commencement of this policy) would be made with the prior approval of Council of Ministers.
- The request for grant of employment would be made by the dependent of martyr or battle casualty soldier to the concerned Deputy Commissioner within a period of three years of death. In case where none of the son or daughter of the deceased is major, the time limit in such event will be attainment of 18 years by the eldest son or daughter, as the case may be. The request received by the Deputy Commissioner would be forwarded to the Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department for consideration and appropriate action.
- The District Sainik Welfare Officer would scrutinize the documents of the applicant relating to domicile status andmartyr/battle casualty status of deceased (i.e. killed in action in border skirmishes, terrorist attack, riots etc.),whether deceased has been declared martyr or battle casualty by respective organization, age and educationalqualification of applicant, NOC of Next of Kin, etc. and submit the same to the Deputy Commissioner.
- With a view to ensure availability of posts and consequent appointment without delay, the concerned DeputyCommissioner would ascertain the vacancy position and coordinate with the appointing authority before recommending the case. The consideration would be made only against direct recruitment quota post. The Cases of those persons who have been already granted jobs would not be reopened.
- Chandigarh, Sept 30 – Union Home Minister, Mr. Rajnath Singh said that on the pattern of Israel, integrated Border Security System is being implemented to secure and strengthen the borders of the country. He said that it would not be possible to secure the 22,000 km long land and water borders of the country with wires. Hence, the Central Government has decided to adopt technology based security system.
- Mr. Rajnath Singh was speaking in a rally organised by Haryana Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Nayab Singh and Member of Parliament, Mr. Rattan Lal Kataria, at Ambala today.
- The Union Home Minister said that the opposition is making a non-practical demand to make public the details of Rafale deal to mislead the people of the country. He said that in view of the security of the country, all details related to this deal cannot be made public. This has happened not only in the present government, but also during the tenure of previous governments, he added.
- He said that the present Government has strongly checked the naxal movement, which has become a challenge for the country. Now, the Security forces are successful in controlling their activities.
- He said that the opposition leaders have been making efforts to come into power by telling lies and misleading the people. The present government has given preference to uplift of poor and development of the country. There were only three mobile manufacturing factories during the tenure of previous government whereas during the four years tenure of present government, 100 new factories have come up, he added.
- Speaking on the occasion, Haryana Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Nayab Singh said that a sum of Rs 2,294 crore had been spent on development of this area during the four years tenure of present State and Central Government. The Public Works (Building and Roads) Department had spent Rs 123 crore, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board had spent Rs 13.34 crore, Rs 25 crore had been spent on construction of four bridges, Rs 13.26 crore had been spent on installation of tubewells and Rs five crore had been spent on laying of drinking water pipelines. Apart from this, the Labour Department has given benefit of Rs 5.26 crore to 4,914 labourers and sewing machines were given to 637 women labourers.

- Chandigarh, Sept 30 – As per his commitment made earlier, the Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal today announced that the social security pension would be increased to Rs 2,000 from November 1, 2018.
- Mr. Manohar Lal, who was addressing a public meeting at Hodal today, said that Haryana has been declared kerosene-free and gas cylinder was being provided under ‘Ujjawala Yojana’.
- The Chief Minister announced development works worth Rs five crore for urban areas and Rs 10 crore for rural areas of Hodal and Hasanpur.
- The Chief Minister said that he would take up the matter of stoppage of EMU train at Hodal, with Union Railways Minister. He said that Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Pal Gurjar would also accompany him to meet Union Railways Minister for this purpose.
- On this occasion, he announced construction of veterinary hospital in village Penglatu, sports stadia in four villages namely Aurangabad, Bhidki, Kourali and Lohina, dispensary in village Gulawad, primary school in village Nangla Pingod, upgrading school from Xth to ten plus two in Garhi Patti Hodal, laying pipeline of drinking water in Dighot, various roads in Hodal including road from Bahin to Lohina, Hidayatpur to Nai Nangla, new road from Nai Nangla to Gudawad, Bhulwana to Vijaygarh and transferring hodal bus stand and construction of park there, and increasing the capacity of crushing sugarcane of Palwal sugar mill.
- Mr. Manohar Lal said that today he has visited the city of Maharani Kishori, wife of King Surajmal. He said that there used to be a college which has been taken over by the government. The present State Government has given Rs 20 crore for construction of building of the said college. The Hodal city comes under 84 Kos and it has its own significance, but it could not develop due to ignorance of previous governments.
- He said that during last four years, the present State Government has changed the corrupt system and now people can see the difference between the tenure of present State Government and previous State Government. The present State Government has introduced educated panchayats which was appreciated by the Supreme Court as well. The present State Government has introduced transparent Teachers’ Transfer Policy and maximum number of teachers is satisfied with this policy.
- He said that the work on construction of roads, sheds, drinking water arrangement and construction of boundary wall has been made in 40 shivdhams in district Palwal. Similarly, a Pond Authority has been constituted for renovation of 14,000 ponds in the state.
- The Chief Minister appealed to the people not to indulge in power theft rather pay their electricity bills and encourage others to do so. If they will encourage others to pay their electricity bills on time, their area will also get 24 hour electricity supply.
- Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Krishan Pal Gurjar said that today various projects are coming up in Hodal and Palwal such as construction of various roads in district Palwal, Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University at village Dudhola and construction of elevated bridge in Palwal.
