- Chandigarh, September 6- Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that the State Government has increased the salary of Guest Teachers by 25 per cent and this would provide them the benefit of Rs 87 crore annually. From January, 2019, the salary of Guest Teachers would be increased twice in a year, that is, on January 1 and July 1, he added.
- The Minister said that there are 13,771 guest teachers in the state. The salary of guest teachers has been increased to Rs 26,000- Rs 36,000.
- Earlier, the JBT and Drawing Teachers used to get salary of Rs 21,714, now they would get monthly salary of Rs 26,000, TGT would get Rs 30,000, instead of Rs 24,001 and PGT and lecturer would get Rs 36,000, instead of Rs 29,715, he added.
- He said that as guest teachers 6,252 JBTs, 5,554 TGTs and 1,925 PGTs are serving in the state. Earlier, they used to get about Rs 392 crore annually which has now increased to about Rs 479 crore.
- The salary of guest teachers was increased by 14.29 per cent on January 1, 2017 and now, the state government has increased their salary by 25 per cent, he added.
