  • Chandigarh, Sept 8 – Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal said that the Film Policy of the state will preserve and promote the Haryanvi culture. The Cabinet has recently approved the film policy, he added.
  • Interacting with media persons at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi, the Chief Minister said that under the film policy, financial assistance would be provided for making films on the culture, language and prominent places of the state. The policy has been framed after holding discussions with large number of people and taking their suggestions, he added.
  • He said that maximum financial assistance of Rs two crore would be given to films which will be promoting and preserving the culture, folk, music, heritage and traditions of Haryana.
  • Replying to questions of media persons, the Chief Minster described the oppositions’ call for ‘bandh’ as baseless and added that the opposition parties have no issue to raise and they are not getting any support from the people.
  • Earlier, the Chief Minister had lunch with media persons at the canteen of Haryana Bhawan.
