  • Chandigarh April 30: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that the State Government is making an arrangement for generating bio-gas from cattle dung and would also assist those gram panchayats who intend to set up gas plant in their villages. There are about 450 gaushalas and nandishalas in the State with strength of about 3.41 lakh cattle.
  • Mr Manohar Lal was addressing the people after launching ‘GOBARDHAN’ (Galvanizing Organic Bio Agro Resources Dhan) Scheme at National level in Karnal today. Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ms. Uma Bharti, Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Mr. S.S. Ahluwalia and Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr. Karan Dev Kamboj were also present on this occasion.
  • While thanking the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ms. Uma Bharti for selecting Haryana for the launch of this scheme, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister has given several schemes to the country and he has an objective behind every scheme. In this scheme; the objective is to convert waste into gold which means that income could also be generated from garbage. This would not only ensure cleanliness but also help to double the income of farmers. He said that 'GOBARDHAN' scheme has been conceptualize with an aim to convert waste into bio energy, gas and compost which would not only benefit the people but also maintain cleanliness in the villages.
  • The Chief Minister assured Ms. Uma Bharti for the effective implementation of this scheme in the State and said that the schemes which are launched from Haryana always successful. We would get the scheme implemented successfully in the State and also send its report to the centre, he added.  While referring to the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme launched by Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi from Panipat on January 22, 2015, he said that this campaign was also launched from Haryana and as a result of the effective implementation of this programme, the sex ratio in the State has increased from 850 to 914 and our target is to take this figure beyond 950. He said that Gram Sawaraj Campaign has been launched in the State from April 14 to May 5 under which eight programmes are being organized successfully.
  • Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ms. Uma Bharti greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Budh Purnima and said that a new initiative is being taken on this pious day. She said that Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi has called for a change in the country and this change should also be accepted. While referring to Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, she said that few areas have become hundred per cent free from open defecation. But we have to take these areas towards ODF plus so as to make these areas more clean.
  • Union Minister of State for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Mr. S.S. Ahluwalia said that scientists and representatives of 14 States are present on the occasion of launch of this scheme today.
  • Chandigarh, April 30–The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that open gyms would be established in 100 parks of the state to enable people to keep fit and healthy. In this series, 401 vyayamshalas will be inaugurated on May 5. Out of these, 12 are located in Karnal.
  • Addressing a gathering after inaugurating a new bus-stand in Karnal today, he said it was due to the initiative of the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, that yoga got recognition at the international level and June 21 was being observed as International Yoga Day. Yoga should be performed by every individual to keep the balance between mind and body.
  • He said players from Haryana had brought laurels in sports at the international level. The Prime Minister had given the slogan ‘Fit India’ and everyone should keep one’s body healthy. We can manage to save crores of rupees to be incurred on medical services if we maintain good health. Keeping this in view, the government is expanding the base of gyms, parks and stadias, he added.
  • Chandigarh, April 30—The Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has said that CM Window was started to resolve the problems of the people of the state. In all, 4.55 lakh complaints were received on the Window out of which 3.5 lakh have been redressed. 
  • Stating this while inaugurating the newly built bus-stand in Karnal today, he said the people of Karnal lodged 22,444 complaints at CM Window out of which 21,533 had been successfully settled till date. About 600 complaints are still pending and out of these, 350 lack complete details.
  • The Chief Minister said the present government was striving hard for the betterment of the state. The opposition cannot rake up any big issue. In 2014, the state’s budget aggregated Rs 60,000 crore, whereas now it has been almost doubled to Rs 1.15 lakh crore in 2018, he added
  • Chandigarh, April 30—The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has  said that the process for setting up 18 medical colleges has already been set in motion and four such colleges will soon be established in the state. These medical colleges will produce 2,000 doctors every year.
  • Addressing a gathering after inaugurating a new-bus stand in Karnal today, he said that Kalpana Chawla Medical College had been established in Karnal. The present government plans to open one medical college in every district to meet the shortage of doctors. Doctors will soon be recruited in the Kalpana Chawla Medical College, he added.
  • Chandigarh, April 30 – Haryana Government has delegated the powers to District Collector, Nuh to recruit Supervisors in the district from amongst Anganwadi workers who fulfil the extant provisions of Recruitment Rules of the state against promotion quota and have completed ten years of service.
  • While stating this here today, Woman and Child Development Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal of the Department to this effect. The District Collector, Nuh will now have the power to fill up 50 per cent of the vacancies in the grade of Supervisor from amongst Anganwadi workers. Nuh district is among the 115 Aspirational district. These vacancies would be filled up from eligible candidates fulfilling extant provisions of recruitment rules of the state.
  • It may be mentioned here that Union Ministry of Women and Child Development Department has decided that powers to recruit Anganwadi Workers, Anganwadi Helpers and Supervisors in 115 Aspirational districts may be delegated to District Magistrates or District Collectors.
  • The powers for recruitment of Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi Helpers have already been delegated to Additional Deputy Commissioners in Haryana.
  • Chandigarh April 30: Haryana Government has decided to adopt startup ranking framework issued by Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Government of India to undertake an exercise to assess State on key areas of interventions that are germane to a healthy startup ecosystem.
  • While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard. It has also been decided to circulate this framework to all the departments to provide documentary evidence to Electronic and Information Technology Department regarding any initiative taken by them against seven parameters defined under this framework.
  • He said that the State Government has launched the Entrepreneur and startup policy during the Digital Haryana Summit, 2017 with an aim to transform the State into a resourceful and inventive start-up Hub, by supporting and assisting the new-age innovators and entrepreneurial talents across the State. 
  • The spokesman said that this initiative would help bring to fore progress made by the State for promoting startup ecosystem, foster competitiveness and propel the State to work proactively and facilitate to identify, learn and replicate good practices. He said that the framework is spread across seven areas of interventions with a total of 38 action points and overall score of 100 marks. The framework also provide guidelines to support implementation of action points alongwith good practices against each action point. Under the framework, out of 38 action points, 21 action points requires submission of supporting documents, one action point requires only stakeholder feedback and 16 action points required both components for the assessment of state star-up initiatives, he added.
  • He said that Electronics and Information Technology Department has been taking actions on these parameters. However, the Entrepreneur and Start-up policy launched by the State is sector agnostic and requires uploading of documentary evidence to obtain score as per the framework, therefore, the involvement of other departments is required.
  • Chandigarh April 30: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded administrative approval of over Rs 6.54 crore for the construction of new road from Kathuwas to Shabajpur Khalsa in district Rewari.
  • While stating this here today, a spokesman of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
