Chandigarh November 5: While taking a significant decision in the interest of candidates belonging to Economic Weaker Sections (EWS) of the society, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today announced that relaxation of 5 years in age would be provided to the EWS category candidates in police recruitment.
Mr Manohar Lal made this announcement on the first day of Haryana Vidhan Sabha Session here today.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has implemented the provision of 10 per cent reservation to EWS category candidates in the government jobs on the pattern of Centre Government.
He said that no age relaxation was admissible to EWS category candidates in police recruitment till now. Suggestions were recieved in this regard and after considering the same, now it has been decided to grant age relaxation of 5 years to EWS candidates in recruitment to the police department.
